I hear you and to an extent im with you because i know that we can beat them just like in the past. The problem though would be the fact that we have never beaten them in a World Cup, the ultimate stage where it all really counts. Brazil knows that we play them good and should be doing their homework. My concern is that we will have our chances............................but can we put them away??? I know they could, but can we....................that is the difference maker when it is all said and done.
When is Layun going to get a decent shot off? Not ONE strike on goal with any power behind it. Does this fuker not practice??
Brasil began their odyssey leaving many doubts against Switzerland, then they progressed against Costa Rica, and Serbia... México did the opposite... Tactically we were surpassed by the Swedes in a horrible manner... As for Brazil, Paulinho, and Casemiro seem like they run on an endless battery... Both are dynamically and technically better than our midfielders...HH dynamism won't last forever against these two... Guardado and Layún haven't been able to keep up with HH... Even then, Tite has Renato Augusto, and Fernandinho to replace them if their legs get tired... We don't have an actual replacement for HH... Even if México focus solely on shutting down Neymar and Gabriel Jesus, Coutinho and William are capable enough to leave the defense in shambles... Tite is probably the best manager in regards to tactics... I'm not trying to be overly pessimistic... México will have to improve massively, and the players will have to have the match of their leaves if they want to stand a chance... I just can't visualize it... Que Dios nos agarre confesados...
Brazil has leaned towards a much more conservative approach since the late 80's... Looked like shit?. They're not spectacular, true, but they far from "looking like shit"... They're a balanced team... Tite is not gonna all out attack on México... Hell, I think they'll give out the possession to México... His stats as a manager of Brasil speak for themselves... It's gonna be great match up for sure.. Can't wait for it... 1012092411512672256 is not a valid tweet id
There is qualifiers...and then there is the world cup. They KILLED it in qualifiers. If you think they've looked good in the cup, then that's fine. I haven't been impressed.
I'm not overly impressed either... But like I said, they have the proper balance, something we don't have.,, I mean, if you were Osorio, how would you approach Brasil?. You're missing your starting CB, and your RB has been exposed badly... What adjustments would you make?
If you really think about the first goal no one came to back up Edson, penalty that wasn’t one, and a owngoal that was pretty bad, we pretty much shot ourselves in the foot just fix the mistakes, take Layun out if you have to our put him as lb and put jona in who will come back to help Layun if he needs it and has a great touch and passing skill
Pack the mid and hopefully we can grind out a result. This would be my lineup: Memo Layún-Ayala-Salcedo-Gallardo Álvarez Jona-Herrera-Guardado Chicharito-Lozano
That first goal was inexcusable WTF was Herrera doing on the ground instead of marking the Swede that crossed the ball into the box? That guy had all the time in the world to make that pass thanks to Herrera
Our offense can get the best of Miranda Silva and Felipe Luis, Serbia were all over them before 2-0, just have to watch our defenders backs they like go thru like that
After the Denmark game, I logged on and said that this team was capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone. Mexico historically is a Jekyll and Hyde team, but this team in particular under Osorio is the epitome of this. Can they beat Brazil? Yes, in fact out of all the big teams left, this is the one team Mexico has a history of beating. However, this Brazil team is not as tactically naive as some of their past teams. Plus, Tite, is known to be conservative and comes from Rio Grande do Sul which is known more for playing futbol the Uruguay/Argentine way that the stereotypical Brazilian way. Thus, they don't look good but get results. If our backline wasn't so weak for this game I'd have more hope. But this feels like 2010 redux. f'king hell we only needed a draw...
people forget that hernandez, moreno (rip), guardado and others aren't in their prime like they were a couple years back. and the players who were meant to shine due to their youth/being in their peak haven't really shown up. I am in no ways counting out Mexico but this team isn't as solid as the one in 2014.
Sucks for Alvares, hes a great player for the future with incredible technical skill for a defensive player. Unfortunately, he had a terrible day and I hope he can shake it off because I still would like to see him again against Brazil but this time playing in front of the CBs, but thats going to be up to him and Osorio to decide if hes up for it. Chuky-vela-Fabian ----------Corona ------Alvarez-hh Gallardo-salcedo-ayala-Layun Ochoa Could that line up hang with thd zamba boys? Or would a player like Jona be needed in place of corona?
It took Brasil in stoppage time to score on CR, and everyone thinking they are unbeatable. In before people say, well they had an off day yet Mexico can't. We are such bitches as fans
