I have mentioned this before , Moataz is way better than Omar Hawsawi and should have partnered Osama in the first match. Ali is still young and needs to be groomed.

That's what it's all about. Since clubs have been allowed 7 foriegn players so the so called star players of the league are either forced to perform better to be in starting XI or find themselves in some other leagues.

But which leagues will be looking for Saudi players ?? Portugese, Romanian will be the most lucrative one's now but we can't expect big clubs or leagues coming in for scouting..

If Fraidy improves his attitude right now , he has potential to be top talent in KSA but he proves to be headache to club he plays for..

Al-clown running the show is a disaster.

But if they do fire him, that coach that coached the youth team deserves a shot. He coaches at itifaq now i believe

Your talking about Saad Sehri, yes he is good but don't distrupt his career path now.. He is still young and is getting good experience with the youth team .
Not everyone wants to be Sami Al Jaber.

But one question: How do you rate Pizzi so far? @hammad_friend , @Fa1con , @alhejazy

For me, he is not being wow & I still consider him under BWM. BWM played with too many tactics and was focused on imposing his plans to the team first than playing ample number of friendlies . His idea of holding training camps was working out. Made couple of to the point substitutions in WCQ and bore fruit of it..
Plus lastly managed to keep team stable with few changes in starting XI .

Pizzi looks unsettle so far & has completely different approach than most of the South American coaches we had. I have never seen SA coach to be possession minded like what Pizzi is. So far could not get his best XI after so many games he played NT with.

I like his positive approach. I think pushing high up the pitch and dominating possession suits our style of football. However, the team has regressed noticeably in terms of defensive and set piece organisation, and he's also shown to be poor at reading and influencing games (he's not good at substitutions or changing system mid-game).

I think long-term stability is crucial. The squad have obviously more problems now than under BVM, but only thing that can change that is time. Pizzi’s philosophy is being implemented, so will be good to see how they do in the Asian Cup in January.

The Saudis could have used their under 20 Goalie. That Korean Gaolie was their under 20.

And that Saudi Goalie was fit, tall and composed.

Pizzi is a good coach overall. He couldn't had played more better with the option he had and it was due to players' individual mistakes that cost Saudi Arabia the first two games in the World Cup, no coach in the world cup could have had stopped it from occurring apart from individual players themselves.

Pizzi tried to impose his plan of possession football with chances being created from the flanks or deep mid field but he lacked any true striker upfront and the dependence on Sahlawi failed as Ahmed Al Faraidy was not in the team because of whom Sahlawi came to such fame.

Pizzi needs to find strikers upfront, needs to retire players above 32 years and must give opportunity to young talents. Also, he needs to drop narrow minded players such as Umar Howsavi and should get Jahfli in the squad in his place.

Pizzi is definitely a good choice since he surpassed the pressure of being fired after the miserable result against Russia, he stablized the team against Uruguay and only lost due to goal keeper's mistake (who IMO doesn't have the sense and / or reflex required at this level of the game) while maneuvered the team to victory against Egypt (with off course with a bit of luck due to Salem Dowsari goal)...

He needs to focus now after scouting for missing players, organize the team, deploy his tactics with Plan B & C (in case Plan A does not works)...

Rest, he is an experienced campaigner and knows now how to work for the best.

    Russia getting lucky is true.
The portugal game, cavani and suarez were at their best that game. Unfortunately Ronaldo did not show up.
