As a left footed player he had to score from that position...

Nevertheless good luck to you against the Germans

I'm expecting the Aussies to beat Peru tomorrow, and Korea will end up being the only team from AFC to be winless.

Sad state of affairs for our team..

what happens if hell freezes over and Korea wins?

I might do something radical if that happens

Ok, so who's actually going to watch this?

Germany are the clear favorites. I expect them to dominate possession and have way more attempted shots. I don't think their defense is as good as in the past and they will surely open up as they play attacking football.

There is an alright chance that Ger can't finish their attempts and Korea can score during a counter attack. Or maybe as long as Kor don't give away a PK, maybe Korea can park the bus and hold them to draw. Are either of these possibilities feasible?

I suuport All AFC teams so hoping for mircale tomorrow. You guys looked decent in the counter against mexico but the midfield is a little bit out of whack.

Hit Germany in the counter boys. Ill be rooting for you all.

Expecting MSM, JWY, KJC, and LJS in the midfield against Germany.

STY is probably tempted to start KSW again so he can park the bus and lob long balls forward for KSW to head off to SHM.

As a Dortmund player reus should know better than to poke the yellow shirt ripping bear that is our boy SHM.

If I were his teammate I’d be playing that vid for him until he turned green.

You guys probably already know this anyway, but the line after the Holding midfielers is a bit of a mess.

I think based on what I saw on the mexico game, if they can fix that space in theory they should be able to soak up most of Germany pressure. The Goal is to steal the ball within those area and blitz.

Against Sweden and Mexico, german mistakes in that space has caused so many dangers chances for Swden and Mexico.

Son is out there and he's hungry enough to shot 20 times if he has to...

Do you guys expect to play with the same mids? Wish there is a quick solution

The biggest problem is that Germany can afford to draw as long as Mexico doesn't lose against Sweden, but Korea must go for a 2-goal win. This means Germany can just pass the ball around the back, force Korea to press, and exploit the spaces that will inevitably open up. This last match between Mexico and Korea was played in 33 degree humidity, and even though the second half was rather pedestrian by comparison to the blistering first thirty minutes, Son was so knackered that he couldn't even run after scoring his goal - or at least he didn't feel like it. I fully expect Korea to lose by at least two goals and to score 1 goal at most provided they really try to win this match. Germany is simply too organised, hardworking, and technically superior to be beaten by Korea.

You know it's kind of sad that LSW is playing the same role as he did with Hellas Verona. He just comes in when we're already down, and he has to play catch up with his teammates nor can he actually contribute to the team fully.

    Why can't he start?

What was interesting about the Mexico-Germany game was how Germany's midfield was almost non existent. I remember watching Vela (and Chicharito to some extent) constantly man marking Kroos and Ozil, giving them 0 space and choking them out of the game. Germany pressed high up the pitch while Mexico kept such forwards in a wide formation up the pitch that ultimately led to constant counter attacks.

Also, I highly doubt Germany will sit back and defend. They need 3 points. Mexico already has 6, Sweden has 3. If Sweden wins, Germany is out with a draw. It would a different scenario if matches were played at different times, but mexico and sweden will be playing simultaneously.

A 1 goal win should be enough if Mexico wins against Sweden without conceeding

    Sweden -1
    Germany -1
    Korea -1

    Same Goals scored.

I believe the next tiebreaker is Clean play since its a three way tie head to head csnt be used. I dont know who wins this tie.

Plus the games are played in the same time. Germany cant afford to pass the ball around. They need to attack

Cause it's not ready yet. Seems obvious to me and so far didn't do shit to justify his starting place.

I am singing the full Korean anthem and uploading it here. I did apparently impress my teacher by just doing the 1. stanza + the refrain at our final class of the 1. level. If Korea wins, it'd be so monumental that the whole anthem would certainly be fitting. Especially the last stanza.

We are about to set a WC record for # of fouls committed, so the clean-play tie breaker won't be working in our favor.

TBH, we should be more worried about not conceding 3+ goals in the next match.

Of course they are, but our "manager" is also worse than we think.

I have no doubt our team could hold their own or even pull off the impossible but it will need a cohesive strategy and line-up to boot.

The only time I thought we looked like an actual WC quality team was in the latter stages of the 2nd half against Mexico. I was too distraught to analyze whether it was because of LSW or if it was some other factor, but I guarantee that shit head STY had nothing to do with it except for subbing in a player who should have come on earlier or started.

Yes, we have to do what we have to do not to concede.
