Is there a way to get an expidited Fan ID? going to Russia in two weeks and I just applied for mine. Once its approved can I show my confirmation as proof of the fan id and just pick it up when i get there?
Just went through airport check-in at John F Kennedy. The fan id situation is a disaster. Check in staff is requesting it and only half the people going to the World Cup have it. They are not letting people on planes!
Ignorance is bliss. Those who don't have the Fan ID after all those warnings, notifications, e-mails deserve to get sent back home.
don't need anything being expedited. They give IDs within 72hr. PRINT it for airport and entrance to Russia, then go to fan ID center (there is at least one in each city, some have multiple), get PHYSICAL ID there, don't forget to take it to the stadium together with PRINTED ticket.
I got this email from the Fan ID Support today, in reply to an inquiry from someone who has received the laminated ID but not the electronic one: "Hello! If you received the laminated FAN ID you do not need its electronic form. The electronic FAN IDs are sent only when spectators do not get their laminated FAN IDs in time. You can use your laminated FAN ID for entry into the Russian Federation and departure from the Russian Federation as well as for access to the matches of the Championship and the opportunity to use the free train between the host cities of the FIFA 2018 World Cup. -- Thank you for your enquiry FAN ID Support" I will take this email with me to the check-in.
@Tello this doesn't make sense, how many times did FIFA not sent email about needed fanID unless you mean people that don't require a visa/fanid to enter Russia are being turned away?
Hi All, We yesterday somehow scored Argentina Iceland tickets and we go to Moscow this weekend with my best friend. I have FAN ID for almost a month now but he realised he does not have valid passport so he went to do it today with 24 hour window, will get it tomorrow afternoon. AFter that I can apply for his FAN ID. If I remember correctly, he will get an electronic version almost immediately. Can he go to the airplane with that? We land at Vnukovo at 9:25 so we should collect our tickets at the machines in the aiport, but will there be a FAN ID collecting point there or should we go to the main center to get it before the match (16:00)? I hope everything will go smoothly as this is a really last minute plan!
Is there anybody else that didn't receive a link to download the electronic fan ID? I already have a physical one but I never got the electronic one (my GF did). I used the contact form in the fan ID page but no response.
I have a Semi Final ticket but I'm using my friends Final Ticket. Are they actually checking names and fan ID's at entry? I have a fan id but no lamidated fan-id is the print out ok?
Print out is not OK for entry to the game, get a laminated one. Each city has one or multiple fan ID centers, it takes at most 5 min, bring your passport and application number (they email it).
This is a different situation since you were already sent fan id, you need to email them and ask if you can get it replaced at a fan id center. Check the faq too. I posted multiple times that it was absolutely not necessary to get that fan id mailed and get exposed to mail quirks.
Hi, I just want to confirm something. I just got 2 tickets for Match 51: - One ticket under my girlfriend's name, as the account holder. - Another ticket under a friend's name. However, both tickets are for 2 of my friends (I already have one in a another application) that are going to make a late trip to Moscow this weekend. My point is; they need to apply for a Fan ID. Can both of them use the same confirmation number to apply for a Fan ID, even if this confirmation number points to an account with a woman's name. Thanks.
Can I get a fan Id from an "expired" (Sweden-Korea) ticket? I have this ticket that I didn't use, thinking I'll not travel to Russia, I didn't apply for a fan ID. But things change....Now I want to go for the round up games. If I get a ticket from someone, can I use my old "expired" ticket just to get an fan id?
Valid ticket + valid fan ID gets you in the game. Fan ID must be yours, can't use someone else's because they check picture at the gate.
