This is pathetic and very low class type of behavior.

Aren’t you French? Some Paris Saint-Germain fans did the exact same thing to Ronaldo.

Also, 90% of the comments about this event on the Iranian social media pages are negative, with most people calling it disgraceful and “unIranian” etc. But what can anyone do about it really? There are tens of thousands of Iranian fans in the town tonight and naturally, as with any other large group of fans, you’ll find some who will do something undesirable. Otherwise, if anything, the Iranian fans generally have been one of the most-liked and best-behaved group of fans in Russia.

By the way, BBC NEWS is reporting that even the Russian Police could not/did not want to disperse this group of fans outside the hotel and they only left themselves after an hour or so, when another larger group of Iranian fans intervened and told them off.

I don't know, using the Vuvuzela is not a good behaviour:D
Anyway good luck to both teams.

Police moved them on twice first from the front of the hotel and then from the side of the hotel.

The stats posted by Mani showing Azmoun having won the most aerial duels in the World Cup is what interested me. Some fans making noise outside Ronaldo's hotel room and then dispersing some 20+ hours before the game was never going to affect anything.

Are you serious or just making excuses in case Portugal doesn’t play well? You’re acting like your team was kept up and tortured all night or something. Do you seriously believe a dozen fans singing outside your team’s hotel for an hour or so, is gonna “hurt their performance” 20 hours later? Get real man. Your players are all professional atheltes , not ballerinas.

They’re not exactly Vuvuzelas, they’re called Sheypoor and our fans have used them since 1960’s, long before Vuvuzelas became popular.

Jokes are already circulating among Iranians on social media about the match. Someone even made a cartoon clip mocking the fans outside the hotel. It’s in Persian, but I don’t think you need to understand the language to get the point.

She is saying that Portugal had picked a hotel that is literally next to the “FIFA Fan Fest” area and that’s how those fans got there in the first place.

Well not really a brave prediction as that's practically the only scoreline they know [emoji16]

I kid, I kid.... looking forward to the match... may the best team win...

i dont want to be a conspiracy theorist but today there were protests in tehran due to the economic situation with store owners shutting down tehrans grand bazaar in protest (Iranian currency lost even more value) which were dispersed by riot police. note that the store owners in tehrans bazaar have a huge influence (they were one of the main reasons that made the 1978 revolution possible) so its not an impossible thought that the government gets scared and tells our team to lose against portugal to prevent further gatherings in the streets. but on the other hand an Iranian win would put people in a celebratory mood and they would drown out the smaller number of protesters.

not saying it will necessarily happen, but just look out for suspicious play, i.e. beiranvand conceding a crummy cronaldo goal, i.e. Iran 2-2 syria after an entire qualification campaign of clean sheets.

After Panama and Saudi Arabia scoring goals in this tournament I believe Miracles happen. So Iran might win with 3 goals.:)

uruguay exposing russias inflated start against 2 weak teams. i overrated egypt. they suck. they used to be a good team dunno what happened.

if Iran win we will play against uruguay. we have the chance to take them to penalties. but i dont really care if we advance in that match. i just want our first Rof16 appearance.

Sorry, was mostly without internet this weekend so just now responding...

As I tell everybody, worry about your own posting, and you'll be fine. Also, it was a friendly note. Less friendly would be a recorded warning, which are coming more frequently.
