But let’s remember facts Mexico had injuries and by the time we faced Germany in that last Confederations Cup game we were drained

Well, no Gio. But Layun in the midfield? Maybe they want him to take long shots or something.

After seeing the result of the Denmark game I don’t feel comfortable with memo Ochoa in front of the net

That was over a year. Germany has injuries, their goalie not in top form, starting left back is out. Lets remember facts indeed.

As much as I wanted the super offensive lineup that was rumored. We need three in the midfield.

I like the names on that list, for better of worse it is the best we have right now. Let's hope that Osorio is thinking of Tecatito as his super sub and not Aquino/Giovani.

So that means we're playing a 4-3-3? I could get down with that. Herrera, Guardado and Layun in the middle with Vela and Lozano on the wings and Cheech making his runs

In my opinion Layun hasn't played very well in the midfield. Hope he finds another gear today and is more active on both sides of the ball.

It's also good he's on that side so Titan doesn't have to commit so far.

Also also, he'll be able to slide back into Gallardo's spot when we bring on a refresher in the mid.

Layun is not a good mid, period. Jona has proven time and time again that he is up to task in the midfield with good distribution and defensive work.

Layun playing makes it capable of easily switching to 5-2-3. Guarantee it happens. So it will look like Salcedo Ayala Moreno in the back, Layun and Gallardo wing backs, Herrera Guardado midfield, Vela Chucky Chicharito.
