there's a lot of red on that board and I will be very interested to see how full a lot of the grounds in the less popular cities actually are. FIFA tried to make out all were in demand but I think there might be some serious gaps. Or at least swathes of bored schoolchildren.
So are you saying that if my England v Tunisia tickets don't sell on FIFA's resale platform by tomorrow (June 15th) ie 3 days before the match, then my tickets will no longer be sold on FIFA? And I have to pick them up to try and sell myself instead?
Just picked up tickets at Pulkovo Airpott in St Petersburg. Very easy: The kiosks are in the far right corner on the ground floor immediately before you exit the airport, ie after customs, baggage claim, etc. There were no signs to direct you to this place. If in doubt, just ask one of the swarming volunteers. 3 kiosks, 2 were working. I was unable to get my tickets from the kiosk; after inserting my credit card it asked for my birthday, but it said that my birthday was wrong. (?) so I went to the desk and handed over my passport. I was also asked for my confirmation number, but before I found it, they handed me my tickets. All very efficient, maybe five minutes total.
Does machine require credit card holder's birthday or ticket account holder's birthday (main applicant)?
I’m in techno park line now. Not as bad as the other spot. Moving decently. Still in the hunt to purchase mex vs Germany tickets if anyone is selling
It is 7. In Brazil it was 3 full days. I got rejected once. I’m wondering if it is still 3 days over the counter and 7 if you mail it in.
Does anyone know whether federation tickets have names on them? I'm getting a ticket from someone but he's saying the name on it has been crossed out with a pen.
time for some football .... people enjoy it! and for all those who travel to russia, have a big fun, this is probably the last world cup as we know it! I managed to stay home, I am proud of myself. to be honest, for most of the time I wasn't sure I'd keep my promise! but I did!
Seconded, my federation tickets don't have a name on. Not sure about the bit about being crossed out in pen though
Guys also one question I want to change the the name of my guest ticket. Because instead of my cousin my dad is going. But because the match is within less then 3 days I can’t change it anymore on my account. Any ideas???
If today's match is anything to go by, I've heard from five separate groups of people that they weren't checked and got in on different named tickets (as expected)!
I bought a ticket with a Handicap icon on it? I cant get my money back from the seller, will i be able to get into a match even though I am not handicapped?
Question for you guys. I need to change my ticket pickup center because unfortunately I won't be in the city in time to collect them. On the fifa site though its not allowing me to choose a date or time to change to. Anyone experienced the same issue?
Posting to you all from the Luzhniki - and I also got in today with a ticket not in my name. They scan both your ticket and your Fan ID to check validity but don’t cross reference the name. The only potential problem I could see is if you had a faulty ticket that doesn’t scan properly and then need to go get a replacement (as happened to me in Brazil) but that’s a very small chance.
You can still get your ticket printed at any of the ticket machines at the airport or ticket centers. It's not a big deal if you miss your appointment.
Ok so I’m in the stadium for the opener and thought I’d put some people’s fears to rest. I got in using a ticket in someone else’s name. It wasn’t checked at all. There is no need to worry. On ticket collection, don’t worry about appointments, at least at the airports. You just line up and it doesn’t take very long at all. I will say give yourself plenty of time to get inside the stadium. It took around an hour to get from lining up at security to getting to my seat. I arrived about 2.5 hours before kick off and can only imagine it takes longer the closer to kick off you leave it. Now enjoy the Cup!
Thx for the field report. I guess the only question left to be answered is if they're being equally lenient with CAT 4 tickets
