Russia 2018: Ticket Thread (sales at face-value ONLY)

My travelling companion was asked. Luckily he had one with him, not sure what would have happened if he didn’t (which was very possible, as I still had to pick up a TST4 for both of us in Moscow).

Having heard him get asked, I got a match ticket out ready to show the guy who processed me. And he looked at me like I was an idiot and told me it was unnecessary. So I guess it depends which immigration officer you get.

 

A word of warning for anyone still to collect tickets in Moscow - my flight arrived too early for me to collect them at DME, so I went to the ticketing centre in Moscow.

Granted yesterday was probably a very busy time but I waited about an hour in a queue for the ticket machine. Of 5 or so machines, only 2 seemed to be working.

I gave the machine the credit card I used to buy the tickets plus my DOB. It took a photo of me as I was doing this.

Then disaster struck and my tickets printed incorrectly (cut off the ends of the printing). This then meant I had to join another, even longer, queue to speak to a person. One of the volunteers took pity on me and another person in the same position and escorted us to the front of that queue (which then made us quite unpopular with some of the people waiting!)

Long story short, I got my tickets reprinted but had to show my passport in the process. Luckily all of these tickets were in my name. So beware, if you are intending to use the machine to collect tickets that are not in your name, if you get unlucky as I did you may end up having a problem.

And based on my experience, go early to the ticket collection point! I went around 2pm which in hindsight was probably peak period.

 

My flight lands at 1 am. Are the machines open 24 hours?

 

Is this the world that we’ve become? where a group game is worth more than a Final. The world is truly gone , oh and don’t get me wrong I remember the whole Eng v Wales ticket at the Euros being equally nuts and saw a trade like this be offered as well

I haven't been able to sell my 4 x Category 1 England v Tunisia tickets. They have been on the FIFA resale platform for weeks now without anyone purchasing them. At this point I'm just looking to get rid of them. I'll take any offer at this point.

Most unfortunate, and glad it turned out ok. But this is also good logic for not keeping the machines running 24 hours - imagine the panicked posts we would get when peoples’ tickets were printed incorrectly out of hours with nobody to talk to. At least the time constraints make fans plan around times where humans are available to sort things out.

A few people were selling, not sure which cat.


I just left that ticket center ,was toooooo many people, two queues one for collection and buying, obviously I went to wrong one, I need to collect, then got in right queue, after five mins, guy on speaker says in different languages, that tickets can be collected at technopark ( less people he said), metro same name, now here in a much better organized shorter queue.
Mostly Russians here, not sure if foriegn fans know about this place, I sure didn't.

 

Is anyone able to register a new fifa account? I'm not getting the verification code sent.
