Pretty darn good for a non mexican imo :)

Still optimistic despite all the stupidity of Osorio.

Most World Cups we have either looked pretty good, to decent in all fairness. This time around we look completely awful, unorganized, and with no chemistry at all. It is true, that we always step up during these types of tournaments...........................................but this time around, well.............why do we do that to ourselves???

Another thing that concerns me is relying on hope..........In a World Cup, you need talent, skill, character and so on. Hope would be for a team that is not really to sure of what they are doing.................and that is why they have to hope for the best. Im tired of falling under that category, because it gets old. I want to go into a World Cup knowing that we have talent, skill, character.............and much more. Let the hope be a thing of the past, because we are better then that so to speak.

A friendly were the result didn't really matter? Yes I did. The tune ups are meant to fine tune tactics and get players ready for the big dance. Not go all 100% and possibly get injured.

Exactly.............you figure that would be the ideal thing to do but.................i guess not if your Mexican. Why not take a promising youth or two and have them be the next talent of the next two to three world cups.............seriously.

Mexico didn't exactly look convincing in the friendlies before the World Cup in 2014. They beat Israel 3-0, in a game were Temoc during his send off was the best player on the field. Two of Israel's goals were keeper errors. Ecuador they soundly beat but the looked poor against Bosnia and decent against Portugal.

Also, we shouldn't forget the fan feelings at the time. Lots of people were very vocal about the team getting embarrassed and a lot of people wanted an all Liga Mx side due to the terrible qualifying campaign.

Mexico's last 4 games leading up to the first match of the WC since 2010

    2010 FIFA World Cup
    England 3-1 Mexico
    Netherlands 2-1 Mexico
    Mexico 5-1 Gambia
    Italy 1-2 Mexico

    2014 FIFA World Cup
    Mexico 3-0 Israel
    Mexico 3-0 Ecuador
    Mexico 0-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina
    Mexico 0-1 Portugal

    2018 FIFA World Cup
    Mexico 0-1 Croatia
    Mexico 0-0 Wales
    Mexico 1-0 Scottland
    Denmark 2-0 Mexico

As you can see opponents Mexico played in the past were way stronger than the opponents Mexico has faced this year. According to everyone, this is the best generation of Mexican players ever, yet they failed to beat Wales and Denmark and barely pulled off a win against Scotland. Those who say Mexico is conserving themselves to avoid injury are full of shit. In the past Mexico has never conserved themselves and have played every game at 100%, especially during the 2010 WC campaign when Mexico had that stretch where they played England, Netherlands and Italy. This team looks lost with no identity and no real goal scoring opportunities. It's scary to think but I would say this generation of players based off the way they are playing under Osorio are destined to be bounced out in the group stage. I hope not but it sure does look like it will happen.

You failed to mention that Mexico in 2014 was on the verge of not even qualifying to the WC and they needed America's starters to dig them out of a hole against New Zealand. According to many, this is the best generation of Mexican players and the best WC Qualifying campaign Mexico has had.

The beloved 98 Mexico team got humiliated by Universidad Católica and lost to a 2nd division Wolfsburg.

I'm a Mexico fan, but with Osorio there is nothing to be excited about. The only game I liked from Mexico under Osorio is the game against Belgium. Other than that, nothing. I honestly hope we go far and do some historic stuff. I even posted about it here last year sometime.

5-1 I think the score was

That team woke up in France once the WC started. Let’s just hope this team does as well.

I think we've exhausted all the negative BS by now too.

If Osorio plays the proposed lineup floating around i think it should be a competitive game.
