Sorry I am late to the party on this, but I have been a long time member of Bigsoccer and read of your exploits from afar on here way back in the early days. I just watched the documentary, and holy shiz boys, in this viewers opinion it was FANTASTIC. Easily the best documentary on American soccer I have ever seen, and one of the best sports documentaries I have seen in a long time. If a film can make a Chicago fan misty-eyed about a Philly sports team's formation, it's incredible. Everyone profiled in the film did a wonderful job articulating what soccer fan culture in America is like. And I love how it didn't shy away from the stadium funding/Chester questions, how it dove into the lives of the soccer and Chester community. I loved the interviews with their residents on the team's impact, etc. Hopefully things happen with the economic upswing the last two years.

Two nitpicky things: Would have loved to heard about the history of soccer in Philly before. There was a good NASL history to talk about. And I would have loved to have heard about the "ZOLO's" name as it was pretty indicative of the group's sense of humor. I realize you can only include so much though.

I went a few pages back on here to see reactions to the film but it's buried and old news to you, but I didn't know what the reaction was from you all. Just wanted to say congratulations on being in such a fantastic work. As a Fire fan, I know what seasons like this are like all too well. The last half decade was Hell until now. These things are cyclical, and you'll be back. It's pretty incredible how far you have come as a club until this year's setback. Take care, boys.

Thanks for the encouraging words and the sympathy.

I just wish the Union had ever been anywhere I wanted to get back to. I guess if you are talking about fan excitement then maybe we have something to look forward to but as far as successful seasons I'm still waiting on the first one.

I'm very proud to have been one of the financial sponsors of the film. I fell in love with the story the first time I heard about the project. Somewhere around here I even have a scarf!!!
