Swiss ramble does good breakdowns. When comparing wages to turnover ratio, what exactly does he mean by turnover? How is it measured?
By turnover he means all cash revenues (broadcasting+commercial+matchday+loans proceeds), and it doesn't include profits from player trading.
#ASRoma loss would have been even higher without €95m profit on player sales, mainly Mo Salah to Liverpool, Antonio Rüdiger to Chelsea & Leandro Paredes to Zenit St Petersburg. However, this was not as much as Juventus €140m (Pogba to #MUFC) or Napoli €104m (Higuain to Juve). pic.twitter.com/7gl3D2GkZk— Swiss Ramble (@SwissRamble) April 23, 2018 So Rudiger and Paredes' sales were included in last years statements according to this, I was under the impression that they weren't because they were announced after July 1st. Our losses would have exceeded 130M last year had we not sell any player!! Our finances are ********ed.
40m is the initial sign on fee for the shirt deal and additional bonuses. Will be on kit tomorrow. We should not have any ffp problems now going forward
I still think Manolas will go because his release clause is 40m, but outside of that, I think everyone important stays
13.3M a year, plus a sponsor for back of the shirt. Not bad, more than double of what we used to get.
Note to self... if you need a shirt sponsor pull of an unthinkable comeback against arguably the best team in the world so people know who you are.... so when we win the champions league the stadium should just grow out of the ground like a flower right?
I don't think it's much of a coincidence we land a good sponsorship deal as we're about to play in a CL semi final. Success=money=success...
Money is always nice but one thing I saw repeatedly on Twitter after Manolas’s goal was how beautiful and clean the kit looked without a big sponsor splashed all over the front. At least this advert doesn’t clash with the uniform I guess.
It still looks clean. Their logo is not intrusive at all. I quite like the away kit with the dark red text. If the home kid had yellow text, it would have been perfect, but I'm fine with it the way it is. If anyone ever thinks our kit no longer looks clean with a sponsor, just take a look at Napoli's kit and you'll change your mind.
Seriously, it's obvious player sales are necessary to keep this club afloat without a new stadium. CL is also imperative, but we can't count on deep tons every year...
For sure. It easily blends in. And I rather prefer the white lettering on the home shirt to a yellow (Liverpool’s yellow on red is such an eyesore. Hard to imagine a sponsor patch looking better than that. Still, there was something special about the crest being the only thing on the front. It was romantic. Though we are not in a position to turn money down.
https://www.football-italia.net/120895/‘roma-have-sell-but…’ “Costs have to be kept high for us to compete at a high level and maintain this level of competitiveness. That means having high costs, and if those are higher than revenue it means having to make sales." even with CL money and new shirt deal, it's going to keep happening... Only players who have real value are Manolas, Ninja, Dzeko, and Alisson.
You get monetary bonuses for wins and draws. I don't think that your ultimate place in the groups matters in that particular occassion. Some time ago it was 600k for a win, 300k or 400k for a draw. But they've upped the amounts, so you get over a million for a win now if I am not mistaken
You get 1.5M per win and 0.5M per draw, regardless of your position. Then there is a small amount distributed based on other factors.
