Have we ever had a Monday and a Friday match in the same week? Strange scheduling. Hope we can celebrate Victoria Day in some way other than gifting the Impact a few goals.
The bummer is...I don't know even know where we go from here. Are Klimenta and Hilliard-Arce so bad they can't get looks over dudes playing out of position (or just terribly?). If so, why did we sign them?
No kidding. If we can't trot them out during this type of schedule they will never play unless someone is hurt and we have no choice
Just this Mickey Mouse league FO scared to go against NBA playoffs, NFL mini camps, NHL playoffs, MLB and golf! The way they schedule games like these makes me sick.
Maybe we should rebuild with half foreign and half domestic guys and see who gets 1st team contracts first? Speaking of academy thru G2, let's try anything something maybe someone can act like they have a pulse!
Seems like it would be a good week for us to not play on Friday night. Any reason why the Stubhub center is unavailable on Saturday or Sunday?
I would really like to see Arce given a chance. I am way more forgiving on him making mistakes versus Ciani, Steres, or Romney doing it. At least Arce is young, and has potential. The guy was the best college defender in the country. He deserves a freaking chance.
Who here in America gives a damn aboot a holiday in Canada eh? Revenue are you serious? What revenue, only reason those Madeleine's are showing up is because of Zlatan. They area small market in the corner of Canada if they wanted to step up their game they should have insisted that it be at least a Friday night game. Let the knobs who make the schedule figure it out. Oh wait they are inept never mind this sucks now I got to sit through those molson and labbat blue commercials on TSN rather drink warm natural ice than that Canadian swill.
Although mistakes are a part of the game for youngsters I would hope he keeps them down to minimum, at least that would give me hope that he takes football seriously.
I would start our attack as Llegett Kitchen/Husidic JDS Allesandrini Kamara Boetang Sub Ibra in for Kamara or switch to a 4-2-3-1/4-4-2 with Ibra in the whole underneath Ola.
Well, our defense sucks, our midfield is unbalanced and our forwards don't fit together, and we've had some key injuries at bad times. BUT -- the analysis just came out that with 1/3 of the season complete, we've had the 2nd toughest schedule in the league. So maybe, just maybe.... things can get better...? Maybe...?
I thought it was one quarter? We are one THIRD of the way in? So, yeah, its worse than I thought. We all know what needs to happen. As unbalanced as we are with this top-heavy team there are teams with far less talent who are just forgetting their place and playing better than the sum of their parts. We are at this point worse off i believe than last season are we not? werent we on a tear last season winning a streak of away games? We can not make any changes now until the window opens again. They have to find each other and work with what they have. They hav to find the TEAM. Until they find their hustle and flow we are stuck in mediocrity. We have a nice couple of games coming up with fellow bottom-feeders. But wow, and I have to admit I chugged the coolaid this season. I really thought we would be something good... something much better than last season...
We could be contending for worst record two years in a row! That I would imagine the coaching staff wouldn't survive.
On paper, Montreal is even worse than us. They give up more goals and don't have the same propensity to score (we've scored 6 goals in the last 3 matches, two of those away from home). Are we really a flawed team, or are we playing waaaay below our ability -- a more troubling and harder to reverse issue? The next couple games will help us find out as we play some pretty beatable teams in Montreal and San Jose.
"Until they find their hustle and flow we are stuck in mediocrity" You sure are an optimist! Our record says we suck.
It’s hard psychologically. We can seem like we are the better team and controlling play and then BOOM we concede out of nothing. Hard to ever feel good during any match.
Montreal are pretty bad, and so are we. We will find out how bad we truly are if we manage to lose this.
