seen the replay though? honeslty i thought it was fine. but replay shows him getting willy on the foot with his leading foot, the ball wasn't hit until the players trailing foot came through after the ball was gone from the initial challenge. granted, that's slow mo. hard to tell. but man, in almost any circumstance the GK get's that call, i'm baffled. after the early HT call on the corner, it's clear to me we get nothing from this ref.
hazard for pedro. probably the right call? could have taken alonso off maybe and put pedro on the wing. though alonso has a unique free kick threat.
anyone opposed to updating other game results considering the consequences right now? usually we don't do that in game threads.
yea so spurs finally got one against newcastle. they'd been looking completely out of ideas. 1-0 right now. but newcastle have had some chances for sure.
Giroud's had some good ideas on some one touch passing in the box, but not really being pulled off. but i think it's going to take something like that, something super quick.
Lossl is really pushing the time wasting limits on goal kicks that's for sure. ref is doing nothing to urge him on.
As a neutral this is an absolutely fascinating game to watch... two teams who need the result for very different reasons... from a Chelsea perspective, this feels like one of those football manager games you play where you feel like it's digitally programmed that no matter what you do, the computer isn't going to allow you to score
yea, i mean, we've thrown everything at them really. it's frustrating of course, but they've done everything they need to do. i'm frustrated with some ref decisions, but it shouldn't have had to come down to that in the first place.
