I think the error for TFC was in settling for just defending in the 2nd half. They should have played more aggressively for the goal. Still it was an unprecedented effort for an MLS team and TFC should be proud.

You know there's a key moment in the match when it's just not going to be your team's night. Saw the same thing happen to TFC when Frei made a miracle save and TFC loses on PKs for MLS Cup 2016. And tonight when Delgado (who had a really good game) misses on one glorious chance and TFC again loses on PKs.
