Most trains will take you to Leningradskiy Railways Station and Subway/Metro #1 (red line) have a station there, there is not issue getting from there to the stadium since the red line is the only one that will take you there.
I've spent the last few days trying to find what all my options are and so far the best I've found (for my situation) was by bus. It's a 6:40 trip that costs about 1000 RUB per person. But as far as I can tell, online booking is only available within 14 days of the trip date.
Was wondering if their were any train options Nizhny Novgorod over night train after match 57 to Moscow? Other than the free trains, nothing available in the times I need thanks.
Thank you! Where did you find that 23:10 at? That will be perfect. And from Moscow I am taking a flight down to Sochi for match 59 that’s why! Kind of cheaper that route
so now that we have the stations the trains are stoping, will i be able to board a train at a different station?? lets say i have a ticket for st petersburg - nizhni novgorod, and it stops in moscow, will i be able to board in moscow? faqs sort of say yes, i emailed them but no response yet
I would say yes too, the thing is that you will need to find out at what time will the train stops at that specific station since, for what I saw, its not listed anywhere. Some free trains replaces "regular trains" schedules, so you can check the regular schedule on RZD, but for the 100% additional trains, I dont see a way to do it, at least for now.
I see that now they are posting the exact time for that intermediate stop. So that will help you @miguelsancia
Ideally I'd like to book a free train to Nizhny Novgorod for the England v Panama game but it looks like all the FIFA trains are sold out. If I book a train normally on RZD does anyone know if the tickets are refundable? It seems like the FIFA trains have slightly better times so if someone cancels a FIFA train, I'd like to grab that seat.
Hey! We're attending both of the games in Kazan and Samara as well. Are you leaving for Samara after the game on the 30th?
What site did you use for looking at bus tickets? I've only found one and it didn't look very dependable.
thanks for the reply, just got a response back from them, YES, you can board/leave the train at any stop/station, so good news for everybody exact times are now posted in the free train reservation site
When I booked the free train I received email confirmation id booked but no confirmation of actual tickets. Does anybody know when they will issue them?
THey said something like “within 60 days from departure date”, but don’t stress about it. Eventually they will send them
I have England v Panama tickets on June 24th but all of the free FIFA trains to Nizhny Novgorod (from Moscow) on the 24th are sold out. The kick off is at 3pm and it looks like the one decent time train I could potentially buy is sold out on RZD as well (the one that arrives at 13:35). It says that there are only disabled seats available for that train and 1.) I'm not sure if they are actual seats or wheelchair spaces and 2.) I'm not sure if documentation is required for those seats. Anyways, assuming I cannot book a disabled seat, I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions. Do you think that there will be train availability that opens up on the free FIFA trains/on the RZD website. Flying looks to be too expensive and I'm running out of options so I'm trying to get any and all input. Thanks!
It's not looking likely but considering how fast the Nizhny trains sold out they really should be adding more. And if not at least organise official buses for fans instead.
Hmmm I disagree. Is not that easy to add more trains to an existing network. What I would do is keep looking daily in RZD since people tend to cancel seats (refund is free). Actually that’s how I got my seats after a lot of days not being able to find availability .
I'll most likely be cancelling my 2 train tickets on the 21st going to Nizhny on the rzd website as I got the free train instead. Not sure if that date suits.
I appreciate it but that won't work with my current plans. I'm looking to book a train from Moscow to Nizhny on June 24th. I guess I'll just keep checking RZD and the FIFA free train website a few times a day.
My friend had success by tracking the date/route on https://www.tutu.travel/poezda/ and when they emailed him of a return/cancellation he bought the train ticket that moment from rzd
