Eddie’s team! So far we had a goal disallowed for offside.

Pretty typical game. Lots of missed chances. Stupid error leads to opposing team goal.

Oh and it’s worth mentioning that Hernandez was always going to score if he saw the pitch today.

Utterly uninspiring. As is par for the course at present. Outmanoeuvred tactically by David Moyes.

    Standard. Completely standard.

Soton will give us a match in the cup and it may not be bad to lose then and spare us the embarrassment against a competent team in the final who both have their reasons for wanting to humiliate us.

On the plus side, maybe we will continue this form and miss out on Europa and do what we did last year.

The match was basically the embodiment of our season. Should’ve been 4-0 up before the equalizer. Also Pedro is absolutely awful - what a shocking cameo. Should never wear the shirt again

Who will blink first; Conti not wanting to lose his PSG or ? job even if it costs him a severance package or is Chelsea hoping to avoid severance and perhaps get some dosh from PSG willing to sacrifice a much needed jump on to the summer transfer rebuild project and lose out on the top managers available, which despite the rumor I pray is not Enrique.

We are not only too cheap to buy or keep quality players, not even any spare change left for going away presents....

Not sure much going to change unless the Board supports the next manager with first team players he wants/no wants within some boundaries, and makes it clear the gaffer decides who stays and plays.

Reminiscent, but getting even worse than Claudios' deadman walking spring tour

in other news is there a bigger idiot on the planet than Kyle Martino

Rather we just finish 8th and not play in EL. This was shameful display ...Hazard had his head up his arse...trying to do too much and losing the ball 80% of the time.

if it weren't for the fact that we NEED to keep hazard, one could make a pretty compelling argument that he hasn't really been earning his contract extension talks. has the team around him also been bad? yea. but hazard could do a lot more too. i'm also not sure he's shown madrid he's worth the fee we'd want to charge either.

which is a weird conundrum to be at, because clearly he's our best player and we should all want him to stay. but he's also become prone to trying a few too many tricks instead of just be decisive.

Oh well, there is always the FA cup, the only thing to fight for now in the league is to NOT qualify for the Europa tin-pot trophy. F**king up next season because of Thursday nights playing metalist Kranklosh 2000 miles away in Azerbaijan is not going to be much use to Alan Pardew or whoever else takes over next season! Grrrrrrrrr.

This all belongs in the Hazard A Guess:The Chelsea Transfer Thread, but I don't think we'll get as much as we think for him in the transfer market. Age+contract left+form - all are working against a big transfer fee.

I'd like to keep him and Conte and actually reinforce the team instead of the 1 for 1 policy. We need to upgrade in midfield, RB, and wingers.
