Though it is early days and we are focused on CCL I would think this would be perfect game for us to pick up points to get some momentum in the league. Like to see strong line-up something like this ----------------------Bono---------------------- VdW-----Zavaleta----Moor-------Morgan -------------------Bradley--------------------- ---------Aketxe-----------Osorio------------ ------------------Vazquez--------------------- --------Seba---------------Altidore----------
^ Actually, as much as we are focused on the CCL, we need to pick up points here. We can't get too far behind in this season chasing the fruits of last season.
Jay Chapman didn't really impress yet again. Good performance from the team otherwise, particularly on the attack. Defense was a little shaky at times, but we were missing Mavinga, Haggelund and Morrow
Scoreline doesn't reflect how well we played. If you want to be nitpicky, there were moments where we should've scored more and moments where you'd be concerned if it happened against Club America. The fact that Vanney rested five starters is a plus.
I thought it was a good performance though if we were better with the final ball and finishing it would of made things a lot easier come the last 15 minutes. Thought Bradley was really good controlling the game and eliminating the threat of Rusnak in the middle of the park and nice to see Ricketts get on score sheet.
Bradley is the most important guy in this team, imo. He's more than worth his DP cap hit (which is all that matters at the end of the day in MLS economics). Keep him healthy because if he's gone long term, things could go south much quicker than people might believe (and no, neither Delgado nor Hasler are reasonable replacements).
