Did I hear right? UCF leading WF 5-0 in 2nd half? That, per the announcer of the SMU v Cal game (SMU up 1-0 at half on a rain soaked field)

    Wow.

Just got back from the game a little while ago and holy crap.... Wake Forest looked AWESOME.

Deacons score five times, hit the crossbar twice and the post once.

Scott Sealy was completely unstoppable tonight. He was in on all five Wake Forest goals, scoring three, assisting on two.

All five Wake Forest goals were sensational -- though the fourth was probably a step offside. Either way, the Deacons played "the beautiful game" to perfection on a cold, rainy night. The weather kept a big crowd away, but the 1,619 there (including quite a few on The Hill) had plenty to cheer about.

Wake Forest never called off the dogs, probably exercising some postseason demons and attempting to keep momentum going.

Deacons will host VCU on Saturday night at 7 pm at Spry Stadium.

If Wake Forest can continue to play to the level of its talent, not the level of its opponent, the Deacons are poised to make a nice postseason run.
