Seemed pretty clear that the Italians were arguing, but it's typical of them to do that late in the game trying to catch any break.
Well said and you just know as does everyone else, at a world cup if it's used, it's probably against England and we will go out. You also know the times when it does need to be used for England, we will never, ever get it.
As for the game and I'm frustrated by the result, there's some nice stuff in there going forward. Stones is a calamity waiting to happen at the back but his ball play is nice. Couldn't stand Rashford's attitude when he came on, flopped his arms every single time, didn't work at all. Vardy was pretty decent. Big plus is Lingard. He's come on leaps and bounds in the last season or so and for me he's a big positive over Alli. I know Alli's 21 but he dives, isn't quick, losses possession alot and isn't massively good at everything. I might be the only one in here who thinks this but Lingard and Lallana look a big upgrade on Alli. Oh yeah and Sterling looks in fantastic nick. Our best player going forward.
There was a guy running to the ref to demand the corner and the ref gave it. Then the VAR ref referred it. There has to be a bookmaker putting odds on the goal that knocks us out being a VAR decision. I can accept it all if it's the same rules and context applied to all circumstances but that isn't going to happen. Refs from all over the world aren't going to know for certain what to do because of the timescale they have to work on this. There will be decisions made randomly.
From what's available I guess I'm going with for the world cup barring injuries: GKs: Pickford, Butland, Hart Defenders: Walker, Rose, Stones, Trippier, Young, Maguire, Michael Keane, Gomez Midfielders: Henderson, Lallana, Lingard, Oxlade Chamberlain, Wilshere, Sterling, Dier, Alli Strikers: Rashford, Vardy, Kane, Welbeck Think Loftus Cheek, Smalling, Cahill, Forster, Jones will all probably miss out as will Tarkowski. Wish Winks could stay fit but can't. Would like Loftus Cheek to go but can't see it. Looking at a 5-3-2 first XI of: 1. Pickford 2. Young 3. Rose 4. Walker 5. Stones 6. Maguire 7. Wilshere 8. Henderson 9. Lingard 10. Stirling 11. Kane
Yes, we know that. That's the 'contact' to which we're referring. The only point at issue is, did that 'contact' occur before or AFTER the players going to ground. If he went to ground AFTER he had his foot stood on then it's a PK. But if, as I think, he's going to ground ANYWAY, (in an attempt to make it like Ashley Young has fouled him on the other side would be my best guess), and THEN his foot is stood on, precisely BECAUSE he's throwing himself on the floor, then it's not a PK. It's called initiating contact and the ref should have seen it if given enough time.
Yes, exactly. There's no WAY that's a stonewall penalty. I mean, I can see it's arguable, (although I wouldn't even call it THAT, tbh), but to say that's a definite PK is absurd.
Nope he only did that accidentally after the italian threw his leg out to start his flop. The italian was never getting to the ball and var didnt show the side angle
Accidentally ??? LOL You can argue whether VAR should of been called but please don't insult your intelligence by NOT saying that the foot was stepped on and therefore a clear penalty .
shut up **** its obvious the player doesnt try to stamp on the cheating italian on purpose, and he WAS already going down you dont throw your leg out like that to carry on running Now **** off back to the rock you crawled under or PM me and I will own you either is good
Are you saying that even after slow motion closeup video, the referee got it wrong ?? You own STU GOTZ !!! Jack asss !!!
He seen a front and back view and quickly gave a decision that a player had his ankle stood on not if it prevented a goal scoring chance or was done on purpose neither are true. good luck at the world cup ........oh wait lol can with some one flush this mario turd out of the forum
[QUOTE=" good luck at the world cup ........oh wait lol [/QUOTE] Well at least both our teams will come out this summer with no world cup.
You don't commit a foul for contact, you commit a foul for impeding a player. Given that he was already throwing himself on the floor when he was accidentally stood on, it's debatable that he was actually impeded at all. I think it was soft but I'm not going to cry about the decision. The real issue is the incorrect use of VAR.
I know if that rule is used at what point is it not a foul say the ball ends up in row Z and 2 seconds later our player accidentally trods on a player is it still a penalty and what about 4 seconds later does that make a difference
atleast with you lot out the cheating and sillyness will be down by quite a bit Gitsum! pray tell what part of Italy are you from
No Canada or USA arent at the world cup. Not like you have ever been to Italy . Some retard from New Jersey who comes in here talking in ebonics. One of the few groups in the world who will happily sneak a draw because a player took a dive.
I think that last bits the important point. It wasn't the worst decision ever like a 'hand of god' sorta thing. But to argue that's a 'CLEAR' penalty??? I don't think so. Still, I just hope they learn their lesson for the tournie. Oh wait... it's FIFA
Take a look around you...England players are quickly becoming the biggest divers in the world. Don't take my word, read other forums. Enough with the stereotype. Watch the play without your beer goggles for once and view it as a neutral. The world isn't out to get England. Italy has been screwed twice over in football. I can write a book.
Cant beat em join em and you have taught everyone well, sorry not you I mean Italy you FAKE now get the **** out of here
