I don't think Zlatan will hurt Ola. I think Sigi is smart enough to know that Kamara is a constant threat who needs to be on the field pretty much all the time. And (unlike Gio) Zlatan will likely help Ola pressure defenses who are trying to work out of the back. Also the Mighty One, because of his skills, size and activity level will draw attention and create havoc in the box, the kind of chaos Kamara thrives on. Our biggest problem will Gio. If we play Z, Ola, Gio, Ema and Romaine we will be too offensive minded and will leave our back 4 way overexposed. Since Ola and Ibra need to stay high they need to be backed up by an active box to box midfielder. Like JDS. Definitely not GDS. Show some cajones Sigi and do what you know needs to be done!
Sigi had no problem sitting Valdez in Seattle. I'm confident he'll do the same with Gio. Lletget brings sooo much more to the game.
@Lazy Assed Assassin Did he just do it again? 978385446932639749 is not a valid tweet id ...and the poor wording... nsfw (Move your mouse to reveal the content) nsfw (open) nsfw (close) ...I mean, I like to associate digitally...
Yes, he did. Just saw it on Twitter myself. I guess he counts it as a success the first time, and worth repeating.
Just when I'm like, "cool #zLAtan campaign!" they take it all back with another image of a child in a professional work environment representing an actual job. Sigh.
No. I think they really want a child. Like the rest of them. Not an adult who might intimidate them and make them work.
So much so that I think it's the exact same post as the last time they hired for this position, complete with the misspelling of "robost" which we all ridiculed back then.......
Well Chris, if you are indeed lurking, understand this... I recently read over on the LAFC forum that certain former LA Galaxy fans jumped to our rivals because they felt like the club at best, was taking its role as a passionate football club, representative of Los Angeles seriously, at worst, treated them like sh1t. I generally disagree with that sentiment, but stuff like this really is a slap in the face. We just got mauled in the season ticket sales, that club is building a presence and the Galaxy have embarassingly made it too easy. They should be struggling for relevance. We've got the LA times and Fox acting like WE are the other team. Chris Thomas should be sh1tting bricks about this and working overtime to rectify that situation, not repeating prior copyright infringements that make the Galaxy look bush league.
Don't know if any of you have seen the show Letterkenny, but the creators did some funny short videos on-line before doing the show. There are a couple of hockey players answering questions from the press that reminded me of just about any sport. It would be funny for the Galaxy to do some little shorts like this (but I know it won't happen).
One of the reasons that I haven't been posting as much over the last year-and-a-half is that we bought a camper van and have been traveling a lot in it. There is an on-line forum around the particular model we bought (Winnebago Travato) which was started by some owners and is really well moderated. They allow industry people to be members of the forum but not to post. Shortly after we got our van, we had a problem with it that I posted about. Almost immediately, one of the moderators put me in direct contact with the head of class B van development at Winnebago, and he interceded with other corporate entities (Ram/Fiat/Chrysler makes the chassis) to ensure my problem got fixed. Not only that, but each year when new models of the vehicle come out, invariably the upgrades are the items that have been most talked about within the forum. As a result, they regularly have existing owners trading in their rigs for newer models. In addition, Winnebago gets a ton of free marketing from this group, because there are people who are just in the market for a van in the group, and they see how well-treated the current owners are. If I haven't completely lost you, I'm sure you can see where this is going. The Galaxy marketing department has an invaluable resource in this forum, and rather than creating allies and using the group as a collaborative test platform (the Travato group has been referred to as a "free R&D and testing group" by some), they create an adversarial relationship. It is truly unconscionable.
Well, in light of @Ghosting's insightful post, I'll try to provide some constructive feedback: A buddy and I sometimes have to work off-site at a place near SHC and we'll stop by the Team LA Store on lunchbreaks to check out the new gear. We're both fans of the team, but on several occasions we've walked out of the store with nothing even after making the trip all the way there. This is just one person's observation and taste, but the things I observe: -Can a ninja get last year's jersey at a discount for Pete's sake? I was told in the store I could buy the 2017 jersey online at a discount, but not in the shop. I get price discrimination, but those discounted last year jerseys are a good deal for thriftier customers, especially if they're shopping for, say, multiple kids. And it gets them in LA gear. Mind you, most other retailers put their last season jerseys on sale, so it's just the Galaxy / Team Store missing out this money. -I'd like to see more gear that matches the primary color of the squad (white). I've bitched about this for awhile, but it seems there is more all-white or mostly-white gear available now. But why is the new, white Galaxy anthem jacket more expensive than this classy Real Madrid version, that I could wear outside and look like an adult in: And yet, the pricier Galaxy version of this jacket is, for some reason, more poorly-designed and poorly tailored. This has been a trend, actually -- it's like Adidas slaps Galaxy crests on everything that falls down the reject chute at their factory. It's probably this way for all the MLS teams, which seem to have shabby gear across the board (for instance, LAFC has a version of this weirdly-tailored jacket.) This might be more of an MLS-wide thing that's out of the Galaxy's hands, but it's something to consider. I like wearing a jacket because I can rep the team without being a walking billboard for the team's sponsor. Additionally, with a new rival across town that wears all black, it'd be nice to have white gear (and of course, a white jacket matches with a lot more stuff than a navy and gold one).

No terribly exciting from a beer lover’s perspective but I guess more money for the club never hurts.
I'm not a beer drinker. But if, out of curiosity, I ever imbibed any Herbalcrap stuff, I am sure I would need an IPA to wash it down and cleanse the palate
This may be the first time that combining "crap" with a brand name actually made the brand seem more appealing. Salesperson: Well Sir, if you're looking to be mercilessly bled to death we have three products that might interest you. Ebola, Ebolalife and Herbalife. Customer: And what can you tell me about them? Salesperson: Well on one end of the scale, we have an agonising, debilitating affliction, which will make you bleed from every pore and orifice. A terrible, terrible condition. And at the other end, we have Ebola. Customer: Any benefits at all to the Herbalife product compared to Ebola. Salesperson: Just one. Unlike Ebola, if you have a large quantity of Herbalife samples in your garage, nobody gives a shit.
Speaking of merch, can we talk about this LA Kings/Galaxy crossover hat? Looks like it’s trying to incorporate the “squiggle” motif from the billboards and other STH materials from this season, but unless you know about the “squiggle” motif it just looks like a poorly executed LA. The squiggle motif is pretty unremarkable and I doubt will have any sort of lasting impression that it won’t look even worse a few seasons from now. Too bad they didn’t give them out this past Saturday, they squiggle and that hat would have been forever associated with “The Zlatan”. https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2018/...y-x-la-kings-hat-giveaway-kings-night-april-8
