I am a genuine Englishman. Born in North London, raised in East London. Although my father is indeed Scottish (a Celtic supporter) and my mother, while born and raised in North London, had an Irish mother and a Scottish father.

I have my country listed as England, not Germany. I support England over Germany. (I didn't when Scholes, Butt and the Nevilles played, but that's because I couldn't support those four players under any circumstances.) Indeed, until August 2013, I supported the USA over Germany. (Yes, AJ - not Johannsson, Americans have surnames - is the biggest reason.)

As for my knowledge of the USA team, I've had that for almost 30 years.

And yes I can spell naturalised the English way. I usually refer to naturaliSed English people but naturaliZed Americans, because that's the way the word is spelt in their "new" countries.

ETA: I should have referred to soccer rather than football when talking to Americans, I guess.

I'm an American and have lived here all my life. My opinion of,as a film, Rocky IV is awful. It IS good rah rah progagnada, I'll give it that. I do think Rocky Balboa is a damn good flick, for what that's worth. I do love your litmus test, though. Its all good fun.
