Is someone planning on forming a REAL FC Dallas Fan Club?
A group of at least 100 persons who won't stop jumping, singing (real soccer chants, not the boring "let's go Dallas...let's go Dallas")
A group that will make its presence be felt in the whole stadium.undefined
Come on!!! this is a new team, new stadium... FC Dallas should have the best Fan Club, Porra, Barra, Hinchada, whatever you wanna call it of the league.

I like your passion how about joining the Inferno, a group that already has around 100 members, and help to make it better rather then trying to start something from scratch?? We'd love to have your voice and your ideas.

I hope that "Jefe Toro" is indeed a newbie, and not an old bee w/ a management driven agenda. I hope I am wrong, but wouldn't the most casual of soccer fans already know of the Inferno?

I sure hope that this is not part of the HSG remarketing and rebranding plan. A plan that that calls for a different supporter's group. You know: new management, new players, new icons, new name, new stadium, new fans, ...... and yes throw out the old supporters for a new supporter's group. Some one who can, look up this guy's IP.

Jefe, maybe Jefe Toro is HSG's replacement for you.

    Rabid? Yes

    Classless? Huh?

Well, at least we're making an impression, if you're associating the word Barra with La Barra Brava.

HSG started an "official" supporters group in Columbus because they had no real booster clubs. Doing this costs money, and since HSG is so cheap (I keep reading that), they would not spend any money for what they already have.

    Cheers!

We have a real fan club and it is called The Inferno. We have just over 100 members and we do what we can to support the team. Not all of the members stand and chant with us at games and some members are spread across the U.S.A. Why don't you come join us instead of coming in here asking ASSININE questions?

Dear Mrs Assinine: Why do you consider yourself part of a real fan club? Is it because there is no other? Is it because you think this is what it should be like? WOW...100 members...ohhhh that's impressive?

Fan Clubs are just that...supporting groups that encourage, cheer, support, enlist, challenge and dare others to have what it takes to be part of the fabric of the Club.

Granted, I'm new and I will always state that until I reach my 6 months of rookie-dom, BUT I have seen fan clubs...I have been a fan in a club in Argentina and Portugal. 100 members does not make much of a real fan club. That makes a group of people with nothing better to do than...what I've seen...criticize...a la couch potatoes...via this board!

Who amongst the self-appointed mighty "Inferno" has worked tiredlessly to recruit new members? I've been to the Inferno site and haven't been impressed. How are you recruiting? Who amongst you has developed a "game plan to grow the group?" Who has been with the suburban lifestyle to encourage their joining of your group? Adults? Kids? Schools? Who tirelessly promotes everything FC Dallas/Inferno (other than on these mindless boards)?

Look at fan/supporters groups across the world and you'll have something to learn.

I'm not saying your little group doesn't have passion...you certainly do among the 9 that particpate on this chat room. But what about being a force? What about setting an atmosphere that intimidates the snot out of the opponent? What about being a group of fans that eveyone else wants to be a part of??????

A little bit of advice...quite talking amongst yourselves and go out and be present in community as the Inferno and recruit others...like you with passion...and be a real fan/supporters club of strength/numbers...at least numbers that count.

Other clubs create their own group and it would be a shame if FC Dallas were to do their own thing and not acknowledge your passion, effort and support...but think about it. If the front office ever got serious about it...why wouldn't they do their own thing??? Seriously???

You better figure it out quick and get in front and speak up as a power of numbers...and more than just 100. Let's see...100 people out of 20,000....excuse me...but not even on the radar.

I don't want to be picky and I sure don't want to get into an argument -- hey, after all, we're all FCD96 fanatics, right? However, every word you directed at Mrs. TA just shows that you don't know her at all!!!

im going to leave the act of flaming you to someone who is much wittier than I, but what do you think gives you the right to tell us how to run our organization?? so youre a fan of a team from argentina, big freakin deal I can think of many people on this board who love epl teams with big supporters groups, but they still are inferno members

No doubt we need to grow, but look around at the rest of the supporter's groups in MLS and you really don't see numbers vastly larger then that. The SC's at DCU, as much as it pains me to post it, do an extremely good job and there can't be more then 200-250 at the average home game. I think your expectations are based on what you've seen in other countries, and the sport just isn't there yet in the United States. You say its 100 out of 20,000. We haven't had 20,000 at a Burn game since 96. Its more like 100 out of 5,000 this last season in the Cotton Bowl. Give us a few seasons with 20,000 showing up regurlarly at Frisco and I'm confident we can grow this organization 3 or 4 fold.

Exactly how many Burn games have you been to? That's exactly what the Inferno does.....albeit we haven't been as succesful as we would have liked, its our primary goal to do precisely what you've listed above.

You are treading on some very thin ice here, buddy. There are many folks on this board that have spent more time, money, energy and sheer passion trying to support both the team and the Inferno over these last 10 years then you obviously understand. You show up and question their effort?? Nice way to start off. I implore you to meet up with some of us at the next gathering and actually talk to some of these people you are calling out...ask them in person what they've done. I hope you have several hours to sit and listen, because they've got a lot to tell you about.

And you're positive we haven't done this? You know this for a fact? We can't be out there 24 hours a day, we have jobs (something many of the fans in South America aren't fortune enough to worry about). So we do our planning and discussing on these boards rather then at cafes and pubs....what's the difference? Do we have work to do to increase our presence in the community? Absolutely. You seem to have some great ideas.....how about sharing them with us? How about joining up and helping to make a difference? I assure you, once you meet the folks in charge of creating this group and leading it, you will recognize the passion, heart and hardwork that goes into it. You will be impressed by the history of this group. We need folks like you, who understand what a real SC is like to come in and help....not to just sit on the sidelines and criticize. So....how about it? Care to make a difference??

There is no reason to be as rash as to flame Viper. He does bring up some valid criticisms. Holding us up to the standard of Supporter's Clubs from South America, while possibly a bit unrealistic, is something we should all do. However, I find it difficult to take all his criticisms at face value until he shows an effort to help the cause.

I am going to reiterate the following: someone needs to look up this @sswipe's IP. I doubt that he is a REAL 1st time poster. He is probably a REAL poser. This is evidence of my "Big Tarp" conspiracy theory of HSG trying to get rid of the Inferno.

In the remote chance that the Jefe Buey is for real, I think that a prime difference between the supporter groups in Argentina and Dallas, is the advantage that Argentinians actually have an on field soccer product that doesn't suck. Once the Jefe Buey actually attends a Dallas game he will catch on to the fact that Dallas is a multiple titted cow with infinite ways to suck.

People can jump up and down throwing confetti and shouting "vamos vamos", but what do you cheer for when the team is cranking ball after ball out of play for a goal kick? Instead of cheering: "vamos, vamos", fans are asking each other: "Vamos? Vamos?" as to whether or not they will stay for the same old crap product.

Little details that you may not have noticed being a new fan and all. By the way, maybe you could start your own fan website called the 4th degree?

I take no joy in saying this, but guys, I told you so.
