Why hasn't Macias been getting much PT? I prefer him over any forward not named Pulido.

Anyone else feel like punching a hole into a wall whenever you see Pulido playing wide?

THis is different. This seems borderline witchcraft or clumsiness from our strikers. This is not about us not scoring, but about how we are missing incredible sitters. It's almost unbelieavable.

Sort of. I don't mind him going out of the box. What I mind is him CONSTANTLY out of the box.Dude you're a 9. Once in a while is not bad, but this is ridiculous.

At least my people got in contact with Almeyda's people and he seems to be playing with another 9 to counterbalance Pulido's pilgrimages.

    Jesus.

But of course. With 2 mins left, tied 1-1, Alanis misses dat sitter from dat little dot in the box.

I dunno why, but I had a feeling he was gonna miss

Once again, Salcido being Salcido and letting the forwards go in easily to quickly take the lead. It's sad watching him get beat by the simplest plays. When you get beat by a midget like Alustiza, it's high time to hang up your cleats

Our forwards once again wasting chance after chance. Guys like Pizarro and Orbelin have been pissing me off because they get too damn greedy with the ball. On several occasions they had 2-3 teammates open to pass to but they rather take the ball in themselves.

Throwing in Macias and Godin made the team look a lot more dangerous and created some good plays, but unfortunately not enough to take the win

Guess it's a fair result considering that first PK was a gift, but Chivas had everything to win this game

    Agreed.

The only thing I have a slight, if not disagreement, a defense, with what you said about Salcido. He's an old dude and sub filling in. Of course he is not going to be that great...because he is old and a sub; and not a central, really.

Also, one thing Almeyda is really starting to bother me about is his lack of two 9s, as he did in the 1st half. Dude, that is not that effective. Play with two 9s and have Pizarro be a winger, not a fake 9.

Wait. What do you mean the penalty was a gift? To me it was a clear one. However, I get your point, because usually those are not called.

The first replay you think it was not a pk right away, but if you see from a different angle, it is a clear hold with arm from the back. We see those called outside the box all the time.

    True

I guess it all depends on the ref’s point of view. Watching the replays from several angles showed that it definitely wasn’t a PK but from some angles it gave the impression that it was.

2nd PK was a legit call though. Clear hand in the box. So it evened out I guess

Well, for the season we've had like 5 clear ones that have not been called.
    -------------------
We play well and we usually dominate games in offensive plays; we have more shots...etc. You can only do so much if the players cannot put ball in net. Period.

The defense is bad, like really really bad. Plus the forwards don’t finish the chances they create.

This team isn’t working out, it’s like they forgot how to play together.

Gentlemen, how are we feeling about the teams chances in the Super Clasico? A loss would end Chivas hopes of making the playoffs. A win would hand America their first defeat of the season and it would be Chivas first home win.

The pressure is obviously on Chivas. My prediction is a loss and I'm sticking by that. Given that there are good possibilities of meeting Ame in the CCC final then Almeyda should use this game as testing grounds.

We really suck at scoring. I watched the highlights of yesterday's game. We won 5-0. Should have been 10+.

We got all our 9s to score, though. Godinez, Macias and Pulido.

    Edit-it was Mayorga, not Godinez.

This pisses me off: look at the lineup...
    R. Cota, O. Alanís, M. Mayorga, M. Pérez, A. Cervantes, I. Brizuela, M. Basulto, W. Sandoval, C. Cisneros, R. Cisneros, J. Macías.

ANd yet we still use Aris as starting LB. Almeyda is really getting on my nerves in this sole subject. Cisneros and Mayorga were the L/R backs. I've been calling this for so effing long.

I know it was Cibao, but goddamn. ARIS stunts our attack and play on the left side. Cisneros can be a premiere back, who also plays winger.

I agree. I think this Cibao game was good to get the strikers a nice little boost of confidence. Chivas wins it 2-1 but I don't see them doing much in the league.

Sup vatos. I’m coming heated. In the interest of spicying up this clasico im offering a bet. Anyone interested in a bet make it hereby known. You get a month of avie/sig/whatever of your choice. I’m not going to make any of these so if it’s some original creation it’s on y’all to come up with it.

The specifics if we lose: should more than one person be interested, I’ll divide the month up into the N people there are (eg two people get half a month each, three get a third, etc.).

If we win, I get to decide on an avie/sig/whatever of MY choosing for the length of time each of you would have contributed (two people yet a half month each, three get a third, etc.).

Hope this is clear. Who’s down? Or are y’all chicken?

Godinez is a stud. The dude may look like a tronco but he is far from it

Aris needs to sit his ass down. I got nervous whenever he had the ball in his possession. Salcido outshone tonight which is sad.

Our guys played their hearts out tonight. Defense still sucks and our finishing sucks even more

Almeyda is not to blame for this

Pretty ballsy to start J.J. Godinez in a super classico

    Gamble paid off.

Cota had a solid game in the back.

Chofis needs to work on his finishing.

I had gazed into my crystal ball and was expecting a top performance from Chivas over the Seatle Bounders.

Chivas had shown some fight and spirit against Pumas and America and the Bounders seemed like easy pickings, especially since they were coming out of pre-season.

I had seen Seattles games against Santa Tecla and LAFC and was not impressed. And Chivas having an extra day of rest made a win even more possible but it was not meant to be.

The teams performance was very dissapointing and many fans are now begining to see Almeydas tactical deficiencies. He has been with the club too long to use lack of players as an excuse, especially when the goal is to have more players from the youth divisions in the first team.

My prediction was Chivas making the CCC final and now I just dont know as there seems to be something broken in Chivas and I'm not sure if Matti can fix it on time...

What chivas is going through is not normal. How can the championship team go from winning a star to completely forgetting how to play futbol? This is all mental. Players are playing without motivation or futbol intelligence.

Pulido was really terrible yesterday.Conejo was inexistent. Chofis. They played scared. Dumb. The only one whom I saw was giving it his all and actually playing well was Godines--and to some extent Cisneros--but what can he do when all the team is zombified?

Something effected this team bad. They are missing EVERYTHING: simple passes, simple goles, BOUNCES! They don't even get a bounce their way.

    Unbelievable.
