This game is fun...found 5 Croatian midfielders playing in Germany that could fit, including Kreilach. Krešo Ljubičić Ivan Paurević Josip Brekalo Damir KREILACH Davor LOVREN
@SALTLAKEJAKE already gave rep to @PattysCow about Kreilach. So I'm not saying it's Kreilach, but it's Kreilach.
in that case, here is the youtube video for him that doesn't tell you much about the guy but hey it's a video
Looking at his strengths and weaknesses that 15 to 32 posted, he seems like a good bet to step into Rusnak's role when needed. As a second midfielder, he might be a bit of a defensive liability and force Beckerman into having to cover a lot of ground. It seems a few teams in MLS this year are focusing on adding another attack minded player to the field this year. Atlanta is pretty attack heavy in Midfield, DCU and Orlando might be depending on how they line up.
those strengths/weaknesses are based on 10 appearances. By no means do they define the player. One thing that really jumped out to me on the video was his ability to be a delayed run for goal scoring/creating. We've missed that since... well forever. It was always the weakness in the diamond (no matter how much you loved Grabs) and it's never really materialized with the groups we've had since. A player who can be that delayed/additional run to break down a defense would do wonders for this team
He's played pretty much all over the park as a midfielder, including attacking midfielder. That will help your goal and assist numbers.
Damir Kreilach 👉 @RealSaltLake Thanks for everything! #FCUnion pic.twitter.com/55R5RCc1JX— 1. FC Union Berlin (English) (@fcunion_en) February 7, 2018
I think we can all agree that his official nickname is Dam. If he makes a mistake and it costs us we can all say "DAM!!!". If he does something amazing, "Daaaaaam". Agreed?
If you want to welcome Damir, tell him that RSL nation is "Uvijek Vjerni" (Oo-vee-yek Vyer-knee). That's a saying Croats have for their national team. He'll likely appreciate it. I'm excited to have a Croat on the team. Time to dust off the old mission language.
I'm pondering season tickets again... Is that a little over the top at this point or am I just starving for live soccer?
Humorous anecdote about the word "the". During one of my recent travels to a faraway place which entailed sitting for 10+ hours in a cramped, non-First Class, airline seat, I saw a pro-USA demonstration where there was a banner exhorting Trump and the USA to "bomb the North Korea". Style points awarded for not being the usual "Yankee go home" protest march.
I'm honestly in the same boat. I could probably make it work depending on my schedule, but I think I'm just going to sit this one out and just come to a few during the season. I did finally get an email yesterday asking me to come back.

I went that route the last three or four years. It was refreshing to not feel obligated to go to games. I only went to two matches or so last year... Carrying Cassar as long as they did was a big part of me stopping. When Petke came along, I got excited. Now I'm thinking season tickets again so that I am yet again obligated to go... I'd like to deal with that problem this season.
I'd probably feel more inclined to go again if I lived closer. Games for me turn into about 5 hours out of the day. Not necessarily the end of the world, but it is a lot more time to spend vs 2 hours at home on the couch. Especially since I can do stuff on the side at home if the game is boring at the time.
