He has been capped one time by the Argentine NT and was a starter at LB for Independente, one of the bigger clubs. He is much better than any of the current Ajax LBs which may not be saying too much. The club had been interested in acquiring him since last summer. I suspect he will be a starter right away. there are some YouTube clips of his play which look encouraging.
It's interesting to see if the new coach will start giving Orejuela playing time at RB. The guy seems OK and anyway can't be worse than Veltman.
Question is if it's wise to do so as he's not used to the full attacking style of the Eredivisie and not integrated with the other players..
Overmars is signing far too many foreign players. Not a good development for the future of the Oranje.
I absolutely agree with you. In the current u19 team, there are more foreigners than Dutch. In fact Ajax behaves like Chelsea or Manchester United when they come to take the best young Dutch players.
Ajax hasnot been good at that for a long time as I mentioned that years ago Ajax by sucking in all those foreigners in the Toekomst was developing for alien nat teams.. But the repost was that Ajax wasnot there to develop for Oranje!
Question for you skeptics, is Ajax supposed to be a farm team for the Dutch NT or are they supposed to field the best side possible to try to win trophies? Second question, if developing players for the NT is of paramount interest, why shouldn't the NVKB put in place a ban on contracting all U-21 foreign players?
Ajax has a special status in Dutch football (sorry Feyenoordsoccerfan). The best players in the history of our football come from Ajax. So yes Ajax has the duty to produce good players for the development of Dutch football.
because the best talents from Europe went there, attracted by the status of the club...not because they were better developers. Ajax, as neither any other academy, can develop stars from mediocre talents. To get brilliants you start with diamonds in the rough, not with glass. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Questions of ethics aside Kuhn is apparently very, very talented. My German friend says he could end up the best '00 to come out of Germany and is up there with Oliver Batista Meier as potentially the best of their generation.
