It has been a while since my last comment here but today is a good day to give an update about my favourite club. Especially because today we play de Topper against Ajax. Although we have a great run of 10 consecutive wins in the league earning us a number 1 spot with a ten (!) point advantage comparing to Ajax, I am still nervous about this one. I don't give a shit about all the criticism from fans of other clubs, I think we have a great determination in our team and of lot of offensive quality. We can score goals against any team in the league and the Ajax defense is weak. Our back line isn't great either but looked solid the last couple of weeks gaining us a lot of confidence. All green lights are on for us to be victorious in today's clash, but is what worry's me a lot. It seems all to good to be true, I fear it all went to well for the last couple of matches and we are not sharp enough. Even a loss today could not hurt us, this might be a trap. As well as to think a draw is just fine for us. I really hope we can win, if we can win the battles on the midfield and get the ball to our strikers I have a lot of faith we will score. The media has launched a campaign this week to undermine our achievements thus far, blaming PSV to be just lucky and steal every single victory. Although none of the PSV fans takes this serious, this might get stucked in the heads of our players. Therefore a win today would be so great, to silence everyone. Plus a 13 point advantage would be extraordinary. With all the snow falling today, and the whole build up to this match I am a bit confused of I should be extra worried for today's match or have faith in a good result. Well Blom was terrible indeed, I always thought Makkelie is the worst of them all but Blom makes it a difficult call. Ajax made some strange fouls, beginning with Schøne with a completely unnessecary tackle at the back line. Veltman did some weird things as well. On the other hand Hendrix was lucky as well when the ref missed his second yellow. However, PSV was woeful last night. I still dont understand the tactics of last night match. We made at Ajax far to easy. Tactics as well as mentality were below par. Well, we have to recover fast. In 2 days Groningen away awaits us. They have a quiet season so this should be a victory for us. With AZ vs Ajax next weekend we might increase the gap again.
