    Good day for Australians.
Made it to the world cup and the results were "yes" for the gay marriage survey.

And we are all gonna get knocked out in the group stages.... except for maybe Iran. They'll make round of 16.

Our one saving grace is that we do have the best player in Asia.

So Real tied Atletico meaning that they are 10 points behind Barcelona

I'm going to assume Zidane is going to get fired. I knew he was overrated.

Senol Gunes has led Besiktas to the Champions League knock-out stage for the first time since the competition became the Champions League, with a game to spare.

Bert Van Marwijk didn't get sacked but he didn't get a contract extension. But Edgardo Bauza got sacked after only like 2 months?

    We finally did it!

Honestly dear friends at BSK I've never thought to be writting some lines on how my home country did achieved a dream which was perpetually repeated since I can remember - to qualify to the world cup. It happened!. However...

I should be supposed to feel joy and thrill, but instead at the final whistle I kind of feel unsympathetic on the way how "we" achieved the last ticket to Russia. There's an old saying that goes as this 'a win is a win' but I feel that there should be at least some sportmanship in the way how you get a victory.

Sorry New Zealand, and I really mean it, for the flyover of flighter planes in the roof of your hotel, for all the intimidation all the way from leaving the hotel and training at the local stadium, and moreover for the insulting that your flag and the stomping pictures of your players received on the arrival to the training. Such disgusting acts really made me feel ashamed to be from Peru.

I did felt at that moment on such reason the kiwis should deserved better, but in the end, seemed that again another team from South America zone was to book the last place for a World Cup.

But probably for whom I really did felt more sympathy was him (Stefan Marinovic) whom bravely defended the net as a lone ranger (due much to the jelly-like wall with the disorganized combo between Reid-Durante), his saves reminded me Mark Paston (from '10 WC).

Stefan Marinovic comforted by the NZ staff at the end of the second leg in Lima

New Zealand players dejected after the match against Peru in Lima stadium.

It seems that I wasn't the only one who did praised his performance as in the days after the match his instagram page was filled with positive comments from local fans here.

Anyway that story is long gone, but who knows?. If soccer has told me something over the years is that you always get a rematch sooner or later, so heads up, chins high kiwis, next qualifiers probably will get a spot in 2022 WC which would be the last to use this 32 team system.

So here we're with the big guys and within just few hours to get ready for the final draw. Whom would I wish to see my country to be paired?. Well, local media says they want to play against Poland (due our previous encounters in '78 and '82), but if you ask me I would want Korea, Iceland and Belgium. Based on my experience there are more chances to advancing if one in the group is too strong while the rest compete for the remaining spot. Even in such circumstance I would still be cheering 대~한민국 and the famous five claps after the chant.

Is not yet confirmed but If I can I'll try to upload the draw which will be broadcasted from MBC or SBS TV.

Again, let's hope we met in the group. Best regards, here Chemist signing off. ;)

You know it's interesting Iceland and Croatia ended up in the same group. They were in the same group in the qualifier.

Ok so this is my WC prediction. Keep in mind WC never goes as it should, there's always going to be surprises and not all teams that should finish first.
    Group Stage:
    Egypt, Russia
    Portugal, Morocco
    France, Denmark
    Croatia, Argentina
    Brazil, Serbia
    Germany, Korea
    England, Belgium
    Colombia, Senegal
    Round 16:
    Egypt beats Morocco
    Argentina beats France
    Brazil beats Korea
    England beats Senegal
    Russia beats Portugal
    Croatia beats Denmark
    Germany beats Serbia
    Belgium beats Colombia
    Round 8:
    Argentina beats Egypt
    Brazil beats England
    Russia beats Croatia
    Belgium beats Germany
    Round 4:
    Argentina beats Brazil
    Belgium beats Russia
    Final:
Argentina beats Belgium. Messi wins the WC!
