i have been checking what tv i have available to me, and thats only by going to a pub here in vancouver, bc (canada)... and unfortunately its looking as though not a single station is going to broadcast THE derby of the year.

    tsn - nada
fox sports world canada - nada

    i even checked..
fox sports world (usa) - nada as well...

i would appreciate if anyone has any other information regarding the broadcasting of this match... otherwise i guess im just out of luck, i'll just download the match from

    http://football.hn.org:6969/

it will definitely be up there probably 30 min - 4 hrs after the final whistle... so that isnt so bad, still nothing compares to watching it live with a pint......

Not sure if you get GoalTV in Canada, but they aired both games Live last year. Also, with regards to GoalTV's coverage, has anyone had any like using the SAP function to have the commentators in English. My Spanish is not good enough to follow a game and would prefer to watch it in English. This far I have not been able to get the SAP function to work, either throught activating it on the TV or off the receiver from the dish.

Fox Sports has no rights to La Liga in the US or Canada. Rogers Sportsnet will be showing it live in Canada. I'm sure a few bars on Commercial Drive will have it on.

According to soccertv.com, GolTV will be showing the game live, as well as that Voom channel.

As for SAP, if you have Dish Network, there is an English language GolTV channel. It's 407 on mine. Check it out.

I have the opposite problem...GOL TV used to be in Spanish for me, which i much prefer.

Comcast Boston switched it to English....when I called regarding the SAP button, it didn't work.

Its stupid, in my opinion to have dubbing in English...for everything but the commercials, which remain in Spanish!?!?! (even the Super Estadio program, which is mainly about the Mexican league...and no, I'm not Mexican...is dubbed in English....this is retarded!)

Ughhhh....and i live in an apartment, which is unlikely to allow me to have a satelite provider.

I swear...things are never easy for watching futbol in this country...

That's strange, I have Comcast Boston as well, but I get Spanish commentary unless I switch to SAP...

    Thanks a million...
I have tried everything and have been unable to get it to work. I knew there where two goal tv channels for Dish network, but I always use the one (in the 800's) which is part of my Spanish Speaking package.

    Lucho-

You need America's Top 180 to get it in English. Maybe you have the Top 120 package.

God Bless GolTv! The best $5 a month I have ever spent. I know they will televise this historic match. You know the match, when we FRICKIN destroy those overrated PIGS! I don't have any rage......lol. Just kidding. I pray that it is worth watching.

    Forza Barca!

I'll probably watch this at The Globe with some friends. There's something nice about watching a big match in a pub with the guys.

Plus, they have more fresh beer :)

For any canadians....the game will be shown live on Sportsnet (Pacific, West and East)...@ 4 PM.

Anybody in Ontario gets screwed...tape delayed and shown at 2 AM the next day.

Sportsnet seems to be showing 2 games a week from now on..using the Gol Tv feed.

I guess my bitching to sportsnet about La Liga coverage this past summer has come through :) I told them to show the games in EVERY region live or tape delayed, rather than just in one region. I told them, they would never build up a regular viewership for the La Liga if they would only show the odd game once in a while. Imagine being in a certain region, getting a game and then finding out the following week u can't see La Liga bc they are only showing it in another region. Who the hell came up with that format??? You need a consistent slot to build up viewership.

Also, if any one has a dish feed with a spanish package, TVE will be broadcasting the game.

TVE is showing it domestically in Spain but TVE International, available via satelite overseas, will NOT be showing the game in the Americas. GolTV has the rights in the US.

unbelievably, all of you in North America probably will have an easier time seeing this game on TV than I will in Spain.

    Stupid media conglomerates...

I felt sorry for Barca-fans they can't see football on TVE.

I see 'El Classico' on Kanal 5 (a danish television)
