I just missed a call from "Columbus Crew"......I hope I didnt just miss my opportunity to buy a share of the team.
I live in Seattle and I called someone to come work on my house. So he shows up today and we get to talking about soccer. He says, “the owner of the Crew is a real idiot. Driving down attendance for a playoff game”. I didn’t even have to suggest it. He just knew.
I call BS. Aren't noogies supposed to be on the top of the head, not the forehead? And Doni G's underwear is not pulled up over his head.
I can only assume this was taken before he moved on to DG. As to the exact location of the noogie, it may be that he felt this would leave a mark. For me, the thing that suggests a possible fake is the surprising small size of Garber's ears. His real ones of course being much larger than that. Could have been the camera angle I suppose...
All these breweries signing on to savethecrew makes me dream of what brew with the crew could be like. If they rebuilt the circus tent into a brew-pub.......why must we always be teased.
Not what we wanted to hear. Mayor Ginther and Fischer released the following statement after the meeting: "We met with Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber and Columbus Crew SC owner Anthony Precourt in New York today. It is clear the MLS and ownership did not come to the meeting willing to commit to staying in Columbus. We know this is heartbreaking for the dedicated fans in Columbus and across the country who have shown unwavering support for the Columbus Crew SC. We are disappointed and frustrated. We were united in putting all options on the table, with the expectation in return that the MLS and ownership would cease pursuing moving the team to Austin. Great American cities do not get into bidding wars over sports teams to benefit private owners. Garber and Precourt were not willing to do that today. Once the league and owner are committed to Columbus, we stand ready, willing and able to support the team’s success. On November 21, standing alongside the best soccer fans in the country at MAPFRE stadium, we will be cheering Black and Gold onto victory. Glory to Columbus."
Interesting... That statement from PSV sounds like they need to keep the columbus option on the table at least to benefit them in Austin. If I was in Austin, I would double my prices for PSV because they are a team without a home.
