There was a segment of people doing that back then. You don't see it anymore these days since Portugal has been doing well. Also when they say that they overlook the fact that there are many Portuguese in our community who actually have legitimate links to Brazil through family and what Not. However , I hate to admit it, the Italians have a point to an extent with that. Not to point fingers but there were people who have done that, and most of us know which ones they mostly are.
