I am so disturbed by Real's recent form that I had to go back and watch the recent CL final and Spanish Super Cup to see how good this team could be. It's hard to recognize that it's virtually the same team!
One thing that was consistently impressive in both those ties was how out of nowhere came Marco Asensio. He took the world by storm. And now he's just dormant again.
Most successful passes in the Premier League so far...727 - John Stones748 - David Silva776 - Fernandinho783 - Nicolas Otamendi! 💪💪💪 pic.twitter.com/TLINLVFo5R— GOAL (@goal) November 4, 2017
It isn't just that. Lot of people doubted and made fun of Stones. He's one of the pillars of Pep's strong defense in PL John Stones vs. Napoli.Money well spent. pic.twitter.com/DANZ82UD2O— Breaking The Lines (@BTLvid) November 2, 2017
Unlike Benzema, however, he actually has his name on the score sheet today In other news 1 - Kylian Mbappe is the youngest player to reach 20 goals in Ligue 1 in the last 40 years (18 years & 10 months). Crack. pic.twitter.com/hs2PXvlGVL— OptaJean (@OptaJean) November 4, 2017
Christian Pulisic's 14 one-v-ones and 8 successful one-v-ones vs Bayern are both the most by any player in a Bundesliga game this season. 🇺🇸— Paul Carr (@PaulCarr) November 4, 2017 Only 3 players in the top five leagues have attempted 14 one v ones in a game this season: Neymar, Messi, and Pulisic
He was the only bright spot for BVB, should have had an assist to his name after a nice run and cut back down the left in the second half but whoever it was ended up fluffing the chance.
Pulisic with a beautiful nutmeg on Robben: The Bartra finish was pretty, but how about that nutmeg by Pulisic?? 😳 https://t.co/LWEH30eLva— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) November 4, 2017
He really was. Dude was trying to make things happen out there. That fluffed chance was Abumayeng and some other dude both going after the same ball and mucking it up. Pulisic did his part.
