Very sad news for Karsdorp and for Oranje . Karsdorp was one of my top candidates for the RB position in Oranje. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Sad indeed. Wish nothing but the best for him. I wonder what kind of impact long term these back-to-back serious injuries will have on him. I hope this isn't the case of a young promising talent who has his career robbed by injuries before it even takes off. If any consolation, Oranje won't be playing any meaningful match anytime soon.
Locadia is heating up, 8 goals already this season. Top Dutch scorer, second only teammate Lozano. Found the net three times today. Two stunning goals and an own goal... still, nice backflick Wouldn't mind seeing him get a test in Oranje.
Hoedt & van Dijk both started today for Southampton in the backline. Willems is doing quite well too, he should get another call up.
No, it's his better playing twin brother. PSV plays his shitty brother first and when he scored an own goal, switch him with his brilliant twin brother to win the match. Do you really think it was shitty Jürgen that scored against Utrecht? Nooo...it was his secret twin.
I'm not very convinced by Locadia either. Like Van Gaal, I think Promes should be our number 9. It's the best solution in the current state of things.
That Van La Parra's goal was such a beauty. Strong candidate for goal of the season for the season I am sure...
Could be me, but watching the BBC match of the day highlights it struck me how terrible those lower table epl clubs in reality are. With better, high payed players than most of the Eredivisieclubs have, you surely expect to see them play better football. But even when they play each other and not a top 5 team, they often suck. How on earth do they manage that?
Not just you. I think the problem is that they know they cannot compete for a top five spot and are just concerned about getting to the 40 point mark that assures television money for another year.
Kongolo just got the boot from Monaco. Is he eating allright, cause he looks a litlle too skinny: https://www.ad.nl/transfer-talk/kongolo-mag-van-monaco-ergens-anders-vlieguren-maken~afef3118/
Huge move for Van Dijk https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/transferperikelen-liverpool-en-southampton-akkoord-over-van-dijk#_=_
Great news. It's been a while since Netherlands has a top defender playing in a so-called "big club" with League and CL ambition -- not counting Daley Blind who's a jack-off-all-trade and was a kind of insurance policy for Van Gaal against injuries. Also this works nicely for Hoedt who will get the benefit of playing times, and who knows, may be in line for a future big move.
Hoedt is nowhere as good as Van Dijk and to be honest I'm not even sure he is good enough for PL. Van Dijk is being the most expensive defender is the football History, that's such a good news for dutch football. Finally associated with prestige again.
