Yes it was sarcasm. Yedlin has faults, but “being in the right league for his skill-set” is not one of them. He should never leave England. That style is right for him. More commentary on the current coach at BVB taking a winning formula and changing it. That said, even with the dip in form, they are doing well. I think crashing out of CL (which they are doing) will be good for their run at top spot in the league.
I expect CP to become champion with BVB this season with Bayern in transition. Was there a Yank that became champion in another league than the Eredivisie by the way?
FWIW that quote is from SOL and Yedlinny hasn't played there in quite some time. As in he is not that player anymore. For all the talk about PB being a defensive minded coach they have shipped a crap ton of goals this year. While this is not the DY thread, I would also add that it would be foolish to bet against him making an impact if a team like BVB made a move for him. All he has one so far is put his head down and work hard at improving his game. He takes to coaching quite well and there is no reason to believe it would be any different at BVB. Getting back on topic, looks as if a barely fit Pulisic gets the start. I guess you just can't keep a "system player" out of the line-up even when he doesn't "fit" the system. For my money if he doesn't fit you need to get a new "system."
