Can we buy them, move them to Columbus, and demand a 'Relocation Draft' since it would be a switch from Canadian roster rules to U.S. roster rules?
Went to Roosters at Polaris to watch the last match..Waitress says all the TV's with little NFL flags on them,.we have show those games over anything else..We mentioned that they were sponsors for the Crew...finally got a TV...We were the only two people in a full Columbus sportsbar that wanted to watch the Crew..just sad
ABC6 is teasing a "new tape" of a conversation between Anthony Precourt and. " former team executive" to be played on the 5 o'clock broadcast tonight, with the question: is Anthony Precourt playing a game?"
Do any of those leagues have cities just drooling at the chance to get an MLS franchise and put 30K in the stands? If I am MLS, I look at this as a perfect example of how you can grow attendance by moving to a new city vs organic growth. I dont think Austin would do that, but there are others waiting..
Interested ... as long as he doesn't start talking about ambition, I'd like to know what he said. Please share (I am out of the Columbus TV market).
I can't imagine it was much different in Austin, or many other places, yesterday. It is sad. However, the fact that they found a way to get it on for you was impressive.
There's plenty of folks who were with the team when Precourt purchased it who have long since parted ways with the organization. I could name a lot of names but they wouldn't mean much to folks; there are very few individuals (I think I can count them on one hand) still in the FO that were there with AP purchased the team from HSG.
New tease says the statement is " what Crew fans want to hear; a bold statement from a former Crew executive" If this is McCullers, all I can say is "revenge is a dish best served cold"
We happened to be at The Pub at Polaris, they didn't have it on, and no way to get CW on TV. They had other soccer on, but can't get the local team for an away game. Seems like a problem.
I tweeted at John Oliver that there was corruption and collusion in MLS that needs covering a la FIFA.
