Honestly can't figure out what you meant by 'son yourself'. Not sarcasm or shit talking either. Yeah, I've been around BS for like...damn, 15 years now, just don't post often and have been through a few accounts. I know OP was actually in USA. I spent a decade in the USMC and we had dudes from all over where we said the most ********ed up things to each other imaginable but it didn't matter as long as it was funny. We still loved each other. So sometimes coming on BS or other places and saying some non-PC shit to someone else without taking it seriously makes me feel at home. I've always been conflicted about Mexico and its team. On the one hand, my best friends growing up were mostly 2nd or 3rd gen Mexican immigrants. On the other hand, watching your national team has made me want to kick a few of your players in the balls on a few occasions, so every time I want to, say, punch Marquez in the face for his hit on Jones in Korea, I also think of the way my friends dad would call me 'mijo' and help me out when we had family troubles. And while we may have missed a WC, the way Mexico actually played their asses off tonight to try and get a result against Honduras, that was very honorable of them.

If we're doing real talk I'm not convinced I'm having a better life than if I went back. I mean I have a better paying job here than I'd ever have back in Tijuana but the overall quality of life here sucks, and I always feel immediately less stressed and happier as soon as I cross the border. This is a personal sentiment, not saying it applies to everyone.
Seeing as how quoting you started this, I thought I'd chime in. This a very accurate post, but the discussion shouldn't have gotten this serious. It was just for the lulz. As others have said it's a sporting rivalry and nothing more, but the nationalistic undertones are inevitable and not just in Mex vs USA. Personally and trolling aside I feel bad for your team. The passion comes from tribalism, but in the end we're all just humans, It's entertainment and nothing more.
