Sorry man we see things differently. Yes the U.S. will to win back in 2014 helped Mexico, had we not qualified I think we would have been in better position than where we currently are at. FEMEXFUT would have a ********ing field day had we failed to qualify, heads would roll. We would have regrouped and played like crazy this cycle around. We tried to the last minute, we didn't bunker nor pass the ball around. We pressured HON when they tried to pass the ball around. Ochoa had a bad game the own goal was a fluke, the crossbar ********ed it up. I personally wanted to win the game. I hope you guys rebuild and come out with a different game plan next cycle.
Too soon... These types of coments by us fans bothered me too but one must respect this dark day for US Soccer. We can discuss this idea another day
You could have seen this coming years ago when Bradley Jr. came back from AS Roma to be a DP in Toronto ... instead of challenging himself in Serie A he came home to make his new wife happy ... sorry but you are either committed to be the best player you can be or are not. We either want the best players or we don't .... The whole coaching staff plus Sunil and company need to go .... time for a complete clean sheet review of the whole enchilada.
You're kind of thinking leads us to think this is normal, and it's not. Cameron, Brooks, and maybe even Besler are better CBs than most in Concacaf. Yedlin is a quality right back and I'd take him over most. Bradley is overrated, Tim Howard and Dempsey are passed it, but Howard and Dempsey are still top 5 in concacaf at their positions, taking Dempsey as a sub role. Pulisic is better than most players 1 for 1 in Concacaf. Fabian Johnson is about as good a left back that was at the world cup, not seen him at that position since, but Id still say top 3 in CONCACAF. Altidore and Wood are top 5, top 10 in cONCACAF. And factor in the youth players and others it's easy to see the USA as no worse than 3rd best at most positions. Just other teams fought harder and wanted it more. Talent is way down on the list of things that is the reason.
That's ridiculous. MLS should exist for itself - as a business, not a vanity project. If American players were worth $300,000, they would be playing somewhere where they would be paid $300,000.
you don't understand Bruce .. he has his good points - relating to his players - but flat out accepting the full responsibility - and then resigning - is not his forte.
Iceland. They play lovely soccer. England because of my Wife. Italy if they make it for my Great Grandad. Then of course Ireland because their fans are awesome.
I know this is the billionth most important issue at the moment but: does Dempsey stay tied with Donovan on goals scored until someone passes them both? Not sure he'd play even at the beginning of this transition to a new cycle. Maybe he gets a send-off game where they try to get him a goal?
You can list players and say that they are good all night but the truth is that they are worth nothing on the open transfer market. Except for Pulisic, the rest are not that good. Obviously. This team just failed to qualify to the World Cup. US fans are terrible evaluators of talent.
Hey Mex, pretty please with a cherry on top try pretend for a moment to have a modicum of class and GTFO back to your own forum. If I came into your forum like this I'd be banned and you know it.
god I hope not ... Bruce will not resign ... but he simply has to be fired ...the issue is how and who will fire Sunil? That is the real question here ....
geez even Weinstein's parent company can fire him ... they could read the writing on the wall .... so who is going to fire Sunil?
One day this shall be an iconic photo when Wonder Boy becomes a Wonder Man and he lifts the Jules Rimet trophy [30 for 30 intro] "He started from the very bottom..."

Damn, I hadn't even thought of that yet. The two best, hardest working players we've had in a generation and both come to a tragic end.
