Very true. But it hurts worse when the goal wasn't a goal.

I was there at age 20 and didn't think I might not see another one in my lifetime. 32 years later I'm hoping for Qatar like I have for the last 8 cycles. American fans, don't worry, you'll be back next time.

They beat us but I feel like it was pretty chicken shit of them to be flopping and faking injury in a meaningless game to them. Not to mention bunkering. Doesn’t excuse the worst performance I’ve ever seen from a US side but it was pretty ridiculous

Feels we could have just fielded a USL or college team and fared better.

A big part is the system, man. It negates incentive for player development. It's too controlling, too restrictive. We're trying to reinvent the wheel and our top talent production has dried up. This is the result. The blaming of Jurgen for it all was just a cover for the powers that be, deflection.

If not for Pulisic we'd have been eliminated before today.

While I can see your point...the real issue is that our destiny was in our own hands. I agree that late in the other games it could have been that Mexico and Costa Rica let it slip a bit...but it doesn't matter even if the fix was in. As others have said -- "If we can't beat Trinidad and Tobago we don't deserve to go to the World Cup," Shite, we couldn't even tie them!!

MLS celebrates, no need for that 2-week break during June.

Disgraceful performance throughout the whole cycle.

Amazing, I just can't fathom, that in just 2 hours, everything was flipped from dream to nightmare. Talk about that 93% chance for qualifying.
USSF should have nothing to lose resetting the team altogether now. I fear this would more or less affect the confidence of better individual player like Pulisic and Yedlin.

You know I really don't care. If you can't win it without depending on someone else, you don't deserve to go to the World Cup.

If he doesn't resign before the night is out he should be forcibly removed by a mob

Give Deuce a testimonial match, but except for the Kid and maybe Yedlin, I don't want to see any of these players again.

If they don't have urgency for the final match of qualifiers with control of our own destiny, then no, they haven't learned.

Just because they couldn’t qualify doesn’t mean the the game was meaningless to the players/coach.

They will be telling their grandkids about this day

FIFA just lost a TON of money. No access to the biggest media market in the world by a mile, hurts. Now 90% of the people that would have watched will not give a sht anymore. Sponsors and Ads will be getting pulled left and right
