    Let's call the plays....

BVB dominate and annihilate RM, at home.

I think he starts. But I'm not sure? I'm actually sorta anxious about it. If he doesn't start I will get more work down this late morning.

I doubt Phillip is going to have the same sort of performance he had against Hamburg, without CP on the field.

Probably a bad call here by Bosz.

Seriously. Not to take away what Phillip did, but it is interesting to note that the BMG forums were all talking about how he is a BMG killer; apparently he's had a lot of success against them in his prior team.

And yeah, there is no doubt CP opened up all kinds of room for him.
    Ugh.

Edit: I'm really pissed off about this. Having a really crappy week, and this was one thing to look forward to :-(

What a joke. No offense to Phillip but he benefited massively from Pulisic's influence and a fair amount of "right place right time" last match.

I'm going to go ahead and predict Dortmund is down 2-1 at half or 3-1 and CP is brought on too late for an ineffective Yarmo or Phillip.

It's also a joke that Gotze is starting imo.

Philipp is a very good finisher. Does little in the run of play though. Constantly loses the ball, nowhere near the dribbler Pulisic is, doesn't beat guys 1v1 with pace and create opportunities. Just capitalized on Sat on a great finish and then being unmarked. I say Bosz made a mistake and I love it when mistakes are proven wrong.

Hope it's 3-0 Madrid at half.

Well that is dissapointing, it’s not like he sucked last match, he didn’t score mind you, but at least he was effective... well at least he can come in the second half against tired legs.

I think this is poor game management, good player management. Its hard to not reward a guy that scored a brace in midweek. I do think; however, that this decision is going to curse BVB today and CP will come in around the 60th with BVB down.

Not reading too much into this. It's a long, demanding season, plenty of "big" games to be played. The coach has his reasons but I don't think one is CP not being starting material.

My lineup had Yarmo/Pulisic with Weigl/Dahoud/Gotze in the midfield. Weigl and Dahoud were also benched.

And WTF is Castro doing in the XI. Bosz sat the game changers.

Relax people . Crucial game which will require BVB on constant attack and pressure all game . Puli will have to deal with a tired defense if he's given the chance in the 2nd half .

yeah forgot to mention that. Pulisic plus two of the other "stars" of this team are on the bench

When they are already down most likely.

I have no idea what Bosz is thinking but I will go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt, he has been getting everything right so far. Maybe a rested and pissed off Pulisic creates an epic game winner after coming on in the 60th?

Bosz is perhaps not trying to pick fights with the team leadership by playing players like Sahin and Castro. Weigel has to play himself back on to the staring role in the longer term.

Problem with Pulisic is that he is versatile enough to play in multiple positions on the field. That versatility is working against him here because it’s valuable to have a game changer on the bench that can be plugged in 2 or three spots. Philipp seems rooted to the left side and Yarmolenko the right.

But the core thing for us YA fans is still: 60 minutes less of Puli-ball.
This was really going to be my little shiny spot in a week from hell, and I have to *hope* that he gets subbed in early enough to do anything.

Well, that would certainly make Bosz's decision a lot easier to understand. Of course, that just shifts my worry to CP's physical status
