Might be a good idea to work on set piece defending ahead of this one, especially given how our last match turned out against them.

    Cech
    Kos-Musta-Mon
    Bells-Ram-Xhaka-Kola
    Ozil-Laca-Alexis

Subs - Ospina, BFG, Holding, Elnens, Jack, Iwobi, Giroud

I kinda like the idea of this however:
    4-3-3
    Cech
    Bellerin-Mustafi-Koscielny-Monreal/Kolasinac
    Xhaka
    Ramsey-Wilshere
    Ozil - Lacazette - Alexis

Problem is Xhaka isn't quite Casemiro.

So if Ozil isn't signing... When are we dropping him from the line up and building a new system of play?

Darth, you're getting there mate. Now just drop the blue bit and keep the red bit, and you're there! ;)

p.s. You're on a roll with thread-starting duties. Looking at our fixture list, you should be our man for some time, at least in to November! And thanks again for being so prompt with the next match threads.

I feel like this is going to be one of those games that we inexplicably walk all over the competition.

    3-0.

Meh...Ozil and Sanchez both being re-introduced into the 1st team starting line up at the same time doesn't sound good to me. West Brom isn't a game where we need to be extra. I don't believe we've seen Ozil come on as a sub but.... Front 3 of Sanchez/Lacazette/Iwobi.

Sure hope that we don't have a letdown after the League Cup match, let's win this one, we've dropped a bunch of points in EPL play but after drawing away to Chelsea last Sunday I expect nothing less than 90 minutes and nothing less than all 3 points out of this one we've really done well at home to the Baggies, our troubles with them happen to be at the Hawthorns so COYF'n'G!!!

1hr from KO. And only 14 posts in this thread. Wow.

That's significantly worse than the Koln in UCL, but at least better than Doncaster in ELC.

If only we could blame this on Mondays or Tony Pulis.

So, since this is on NBCSN, that means I can stream it for free on their website right?

Edit: Answered my own question. Yes! I'm streaming the pre-game show right now.

Interesting that Ramsey has been moved up to the forward line w/ Sanchez & Laca. With Mo & Xhaka holding down the fort. Pray for them. And us.

Ramsey up front is weird. Why not Theo?

Because it's really going to be a midfield three? Dunno, Ramsey plays as a forward no matter what anyway. At least with Elnens, we get two real central mids.

Edit: someone observed in the Chelsea thread that they thought we looked better with three midfielders on, looks like Wenger agrees.

Edit edit: Found it, it was Prince:

Maybe, but West Brom are likely to park the bus.

We are very, very, very lucky to not be 0-1 right now. Shoulda been a PK on Livermore, but he got back on his feet to take a shot... all credit to him. But he ultimately was punished for that decision. The refs should NOT do that. They should call a PK if there was foul/contact, regardless of whether the player goes down. That way they would reward honest efforts like Livermore just did.

Edit: Sorry, just saw the replay. It was Rodriguez not Livermore. But the rest is all valid.

Laborious sluggish passing, Slow, lots of back passes. Back to the Midget Ball.

One mistake and they open us up. Should've been a penalty. Then Mustafi hoofs it into touch with a horrible pass.

Ramsey could have done better with the header.
