I am not sure how they calculate the actual bodies in the arena , There is only one way you can get into the arena and that is through gate E-7 if you are playing on the field that afternoon , If you leave your tickets are marked and if you comeback later you have to go through the main gate.
If you wanted to do a FOIA request on a municipal building, I reckon you could. The spreadsheet in question showed the difference betweem announced and supposed actual, and gate receipts. It was supposedly an internal league document, so there was no legal reason for it to be audited or to even be accurate. And because it could have been an elaborate prank, I felt it would have been wrong to publish it.
Tacoma Signs Philip Lund: https://www.sounderatheart.com/2017/9/6/16258232/tacoma-stars-sign-philip-lund
Lund played for the Sounders in 2013 with 16 minutes in MLS play ( wow ) that has to be a record for least amount of time played for a MLS team
SIAP, but is this the new MASL official ball? My son's friend got this from Target. It's Pro Player brand which has been revived by the Perry Ellis company. I just read they started sponsoring a few MLB teams this season and were targeting fall of 2017 for a more national push. It's similar design, but more modern with a neon yellow and navy instead of yellow/black. And no dimples...
It will shock no one that you're wrong again. John O'Brien played five minutes in his only MLS game for Chivas USA in 2006.
http://us.puma.com/en_US/pd/masl-official-match-soccer-ball/pna888536716998.html Here's the "official" MASL ball from the Puma website. Website says that the product is no longer available.
Yeah, I own that one. But they went on sale for 50% off on puma.com and then were no longer available. I would think that these two developments, the appearance of the new ball and disappearance of the old one, are not purely coincidental. EDIT: Target.com has this in size 3-5 as a $13 replica ball. They also have a black one with the MASL logo for the same price. Getting these IN Target is a nice little marketing coup.
So you think Pro Player just has a deal with MASL for use of the logo on replica balls? Not being snarky, I'm just trying to clarify.
No Pro Player is some division or affiliate or distributor of Puma and they made the league ball last year. I don't know why they made an MASL-branded ball that doesn't look anything like the MASL ball to sell at retail. I don't know how many Targets the ball was sold in. I always looked for it and never saw it at any Targets I went to.
My best guess is that the ball they made to sell in stores was leftover material they had to find a use for. So why not put it in target since they buy in a high volume they will not care.
While more information should be coming out shortly, things appear to be looking good for the KC Comets to play in the MASL this Fall. https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/09/11/kansas-city-comets-ownership-group.html

Because NOTHING makes sense with this crazy little niche-sport-within-a-niche-sport. THIS. THIS. This describes the 100 or so of us in the US and Mexico who follow this sport. I once was driving from Vancouver, headed to Portland, just South of Seattle is Kent, where the Tacoma Stars play. There was a sign off of I-5 to Exit for the ShoWare Center. Whenever this happens, the long-suffering Mrs. Shelts is usually treated to a quick run down of any Junior, Minor or NHL hockey teams that play or played in the arena and if I have ever been (seriously, I have been to 85-90% of the arenas in North America where a team has played). Anyways on going past the ShoWare Center I described the Dion Earl and the Seattle Impact disaster with the dance team. She simply shook her head. Shook her head. Thats all she did, just shook her head. Poor Mrs. Shelts was then driven by the Tacoma Dome 20 minutes later Agree, yes but with one little addendum, and I know you are a good poster and understand this ahead of time, I'm just re-iterating.......... Absolutely Positively Completely Unabridgedly Unqualifiedly Sheer Outright Utter Unconditionally Totally Flat out Thoroughly No ifs, No ands, No buts, No strings attached, No fine print, No catch, No holds barred, No Joke. NOBODY in America has the foggiest clue who the Major Arena Soccer League is. I would say Baader-Meinhof gang has a higher media presence than MASL.
Dallas folding means the divisions have to shift. Has there been a ' drop-dead' date posted for Rochester? You'd think that right about NOW would be it. Then again this is the same sport that dredged up the Twisters, Roar and Riot , just to keep the lights on. So adding the Lancers back in, 2 weeks from kickoff, would not surprise me.
I don't know. There was 6 in that division with Dallas, now it is 5. That is still bigger than the Pacific division at 4. You have to worry about the viability of a sport loses teams like the Rochester and Dallas, then has Kansas City teetering on the precipice for an entire summer. On a bright note however things seem fine in Turlock!
Oh, I know. What I was saying was it would be a major coup to get their logo on a ball at Target (in MASL markets especially) just to get some name recognition for the league.
