As I said in the Samp thread, I worry about our match sharpness/fitness. Atletico are a very physical team.
We need to win at least one of our home games against Chelsea and atletico so hopefully this is it. I'm wondering what our formation is going to look like. Atletico is good team and I feel we are not in good form right now. Hoping for the best.
If anyone wants some extra assurance that we will get out of our group, Atletico have only ever been knocked out by Real Madrid in CL since Simeone took over
I think it was always clear, it's beating out Chelsea or heading straight to EL. 2-0 the bad way tomorrow unfortunately, this team won't beat itself. Best case is draw, but I'm not holding out hope.
Not me. Content maybe, but that would depend on how the game goes. I feel like we need to win this if we're going to get out of the group. Although, despite this feeling, I understand a draw wouldn't be fatal. Lose and we can start looking forward to a EL place at best. Is this Roma good enough to beat Atletico? I haven't the faintest idea.
Some of the crap I'm reading is insane. You guys are acting like Real Madrid and Barcelona are in our group. Atleti and Chelsea are beatable.
Agree. Believing we have no chance in this group is a touch OTT on the pessimism side. Tomorrow will tell us a lot. Lose and we're most likely screwed tho.
I would honestly rather face Barcelona than Atletico to be honest. I don't think there is that big of a difference quality wise, but they and Chelsea are two of the most disciplined teams in Europe. Where as Roma lose their heads in CL as soon as there is a hint of pressure.
I fear a heavy defeat. I'm not convinced by EDF so far, and we have no creativity/X factor in midfield capable of unlocking elite sides.
Does anyone know, do we have to sign up for the Fox Match Pass in the US? Last year, since I had the soccer package, I could just watch on FoxGo. Now it's more?
