Hopefully what we saw in Columbus will take off. There was a very short-lived group between SA and AO that was around for a while before fading away...hopefully this group is around to stay, but we'll see.

And as for the "Club over Country" statement, I'm sure @RoleModel83 agrees with me when I would hope that we could all put aside our club loyalties for a day or two to welcome out-of-town USA fans to our various cities.

There was a Sam's Army tent outside Crew Stadium, manned by Spaccone's brother. He took a lot of email addresses, as people were interested in merch. Don't know what, if anything, it will come too.
The SA banner was present inside, next to the AOs in the north end.
I wore the old NJB shirt, as did Lil Jake & a friend who travelled with us. A few others wore theirs as well. At the moment, I can't recall what Kirwan wore!
P.S. It was nice to see a strong MR presence at the game!

Yes a bunch of us old Sam's Army folks started the Sammers Supporters Club. So you'll probably see some of that around on twitter/facebook. We have a website coming up too. We had been talking about making it all come back and decided with all of the fun going on in the lead up to the C'bus match we would start chatting up people and seeing how things go.

I'm hoping that SA does truly come back and we can all work together. It is a great alternative to AO.

It would be great to revive SA. No need for a rivalry with AO. Many would join both.
It would be even better if SA could establish a good-enough relationship with USSF, to obtain a group of Supporters tickets for Brazil, for us SA old-schoolers from the France/Korea/Germany/SouthAfrica World Cups!

They still organize World Cup trips and sell tickets for almost every US home match, but it's all arranged by someone from Dream Seats. The brand name and website have just been a front for years now.

It's not like the AO doesn't make a profit on their inflated trip packages...

True, but at least AO is on the ground actively doing work and honoring it's mission of uniting and strengthening support for the National teams nation (world) wide. Sam's Army has not done that in at least 8 years.

Again, sad but true. The person here, who said he was traveling with SA, said that they had extra game tickets available. I should have asked about Italy - Uruguay!;)

This is a sad story. I paid for half of the Son-of-BAF. I wonder where it is now . . .

Perhaps you could contact NJB, holders of the BAF, to inquire on the whereabouts of the SAF?

I was on the dream events (sams army) trip and it was a lot of fun. Small group of 30 people, everything went smoothly and our full time guide arranged some amazing things for us.
