Never heard a sweeter sounding word than Feyenoord part 2

Discussion in 'The Netherlands' started by feyenoordsoccerfan, Jun 4, 2012.

  1. They are working on it.

  2. Some football "analysts" "think" Feyenoord will not become champions, because  Ajax dropped unnecesary points:confused:. Hello guys. Just to remind you and your geriatric/alzheimerian brains. Ajax gathered far more points than they did when they or PSV became champions. And still Feyenoord did beat them. So you are expecting Ajax to get even more points than last year?:ROFLMAO:

^^^As usual, my prediction is that the title race will go down to the last match day. I make no prediction about which team will come out on top.

Feyenoord look good again this year. Vilhena especially looked good in the Shield.

  5. One dude, I think it was Kraay jr, said that last season all the pieces fell in the right place for Feyenoord to win the title and it willnot happen again. These imbecils have the memory of a mosquito. Feyenoord the season before was undefeated the whole season except for the 7 first matches loss in a row. It we hadnot had that weird start we would have been champions the year before too. So what "the pieces fell in the right place last year" are you shitting about?

    Whatever. Talk is talk.

Hey, who do you think Gio starts at right back Sunday against FC Twente? Considering that Diks didn't have too good of a match against Vitesse, do you think Gio will give Sofyan Amrabat a runout at that position?

  7. My guess would be Diks. Nieuwkoop is slightly injured and Amrabat seems to be more suited to the CD spot if he's used in the defense.

Is it jus me or didnt you guys notice he was up against Buttner and Foor, two very explosive players and any team facing vitesse this season will have to be look out for that left flank.also think Buttner should be called up . His explosivness is whats missing in NT especially on that left hand side. I said this when buttner moved to vitesse. Give this guy some time and he will explode once fully fit.
also would like to see Gio give st juste some game time before dick selects his extended squad for the french qualifers.

  9. According to Robin van Persie's father he's coming to Feyenoord this transfer window.
    https://www.fr12.nl/nieuws/nieuws/n...persie-denk-wel-dat-robin-terugkomt-hoor.html

  10. Okay! The season kick off with the first few matches has taken place and it looks good:) Provided you're not an Ajax fan:sneaky:
Sunday we kick off against FC Twente at "De Kuip". This is a major chance to pick up where we left last season. Ahead of Ajax and PSV.
Twente looks not ready for the season yet, but we need to be fully concentrated and committed.
And score 4 more than Twente to take the lead.

Sloppy passing-game from both sides with Twente fouling like crazy in the middle of the pitch to disrupt. Boëtius did awesome for the goal but man I hope he learned in his time away to not always just cut inside all the time like he used to. Forgot how frustrating that was to see... So glad we got Berghuis to come back and see him try a few 1v1's when possible. Gonna need that from both him and Boëtius.

Decent first game and win though all things considered.

  12. But next week we face the mighty Excelsior:eek::cautious:

  13. Feyenoord – FC Twente 2-1
    Feyenoord: Bijlow 7; Diks 6,5 (86. St. Juste -), Botteghin 6,5, Van der Heijden 6,5, Haps 6,5; El Ahmadi 6,5, Toornstra 6 (71. Amrabat -), Vilhena 6,5; Boëtius 7, Jörgensen 7, Berghuis 7.
    FC Twente: Brondeel 5,5; Ter Avest 5, Andersen 6, Thesker 5,5, Trajkovski 5; Van der Heijden 5,5 (62. Laukart -), Jensen 6,5, Holla 6; George 4, Kvasina 6 (86. Boere -), Gjorgjev 4 (75. Buckley-Ricketts).

    Willem II – Excelsior 1-2
    Willem II: Wellenreuther 5; Lewis 7, Lachman 5, Peters 6, Tsimikas 6; Chirivella 7, Crowley 7 (70. Haye), Heerkens 6; Azzaoui 6 (84. Calcan -), Sol 6, Coulibaly 5 (59. Croux 6).

    Arbiter: Manschot 6

The wife of professional footballer Thomas Buffel has died following a battle with cancer.

Stephanie De Buysser, who is mother to Buffel's three-year-old twin boys, passed away last night aged 39.
The pair, who were long term partners, only married in June last year.

Buffel revealed in December that Stephanie was battling bowel cancer .

As a Feyenoordfan I wish Thomas strength to cope with this loss. This came to my attention just by coincidence. Somehow I missed this sad thing.

  15. Feyenoord has been quiet about Sven van Beek.
Since his foot surgery in april '17 it has been very silent. Would like to know how things are going with him.

  16. Feyenoord isnot very good on artificial turf, so against Excelsior next away match is going to be a challenge, the numbers show:

    http://www.ad.nl/nederlands-voetbal...-spelers-of-hopen-dat-het-goed-gaat~a029c075/
"Feyenoord only won 44% of all it's Eredivisie matches on art. turf. On all pitches (fsf: grass and art. turf) measured over the last five seasons it is 61%."

    "Winstpercentages
    44%

So we can safely state because we have the best pitch for years now in the Eredivisie, we're not doing us a favour as it spoils our capability to play on shit fields.
It also shows Ajax and PSV are fake footballers, playing better on fake fields:thumbsdown:
The rise of the fake fields is the main reason why PSV and Ajax gathered all those titles and we, the pure footballers:thumbsup:, didnot.

  17. Jørgensen hates artificial turf. In fact he never scored on it last season and Kramer did score 6 goals on six art. turfs. So it seems obvious what to do. Start with Nic and if it doesnot work, put in Kramer.

^^^Looks like Feyenoord will only earn €12.7!:D

  20. Nope. On top of that comes the market share, around 8 million I guess. You know, of what Ajax graciously gave us their share:p

Larsson seems to be Feyenoords newest signing according to VI yesterday. I think Feyenoord signed a very talented player but with a poor mentality. If they can fix his attitude, they have a great player with him. The needed a left winger, only Boëtius was to risky. But now the have every options at every position. I only wonder if van Geel ever looks beyond Dutch borders, since they signed only (former) Eredivisie players. If they can sell Kramer and get van Persie they are the clear favorites for another title this season.

Yup, other Feyenoord site states that Feyenoord offered 4m plus up to 500k in bonuses. Samba apparently plays left wing or withdrawn striker/#10 like Toornstra. What is the rap with his attitude? I didn't pay much attention to him when we played Heerenveen last season.

Feyenoord with a 1-0 win in the Rotterdam derby on Excelsior's cr@ppy carpet. Vilhena put Boetius in on the left side for the match winner.

    Starters:
    Jones
Diks, Botteghin, van der Heijden, Haps
    El Ahmadi, Vilhena
    Toornstra
    Berghuis, Jorgensen, Boetius

Basacikoglu and Amrabat came on late as subs. Feyenoord had only one shot on target but had greater ball possession. Diks did okay at right back and seems to be gaining confidence. I understand that he didn't get much match action last season.

I don't know why Excelsior sat back early on because Feyenoord controlled play and got the early goal. After that, Excelsior pressured high up the pitch and had the better of the chances. They will take points at home this season with their fake pitch.
