http://www.denverpost.com/2017/04/25/mls-team-payrolls-2017/ Yep Agreed MLS will have to spend alot more to catch Liga MX
Chich seems to have pretty strong feelings on this move http://www.espnfc.com/major-league-...rito-hernandez-defends-carlos-velas-lafc-move
Holy crap .. will Ferrell is co owner of lafc.. so crazy that he came to LA instead of Mexico .. same with Jonathan ..
The difference is the Mexican League has years of history and in todays times in general they have here and there a few standout foreigners. The U.S. cannot compare to Mexico in history, but with that said, its making history as the years and the league go by before our eyes. They have foreigners that are way past their time.....................but they are big names and people will still see them because of what those people have done in their respective careers respectively. But they are also all of a sudden trying to attract younger and in this case younger Mexican players like the likes of Gio, Jona, and Vela....................all Mexicans and still at a very young age to go to this so called retirement league. The MLS...............is a very weird league that has old, young, boring, exciting, sad, good, bad, glad type of players............its making its history and it has a long way to go, but they sure as helll are making good strides to make it there soon enough. The Mexican league is attractive to a certain extent, but it has become stagnant with that so called attraction. What makes the Mexican league bad is that there is not enough Mexicans of high quality.............its been invaded and you know who is to blame. Like i said, were in big trouble..............and its only going to get worse, hang on everybody!!!!
Like i said my friend its only a matter of time before it takes over, i did'nt say its better than the Mexican league..............but it coming by. What makes the Mexican league what it is, is all its foreigners..................the irony about that is that it also hurts the fact that we dont have young Mexican players to progress as they should because were.......................Mexico and you know how corrupted it is over there. The MLS does get smoke in the CCL..............but at the end of the day that means nothing when it comes to the Mexican National Team..............because were not developing players the way we should...........................we have a problem, and its been here for quite a while.
Am i not stating facts my friend or is it the typical Mexican mentality that prevents us to strive for better things.............................??? Thats why we are how we are, just give it a little more time...................
Look, I'm a big realist when it comes to telling MLS bashers to shut up. Because USA has beaten Mexico with these idiots countless times since 2000. But at the same time, I have to realize that the MLS sucks dick at the world level, the quality sucks when you watch it, and they get smoked in the CCL.
You're technically right...unless they rid themselves of the salary cap and agree to Pro/Rel. Then their ceiling may be higher.
Not happening. People barely go to the stadiums now. Imagine if Iowa United got relegated... You think those Midwestern mutants would fill their "state of the art" soccer specific 17k arenas? Rochester and Sounders were anomalies.
the only ones i can see happening would be for those who have an existing fan base in the lower divisions like detroit fc.
There are some clubs out there with fanbases. But this shit is niche as hell. The US isn't used to vatos being diehard supporters of shit clubs from coast to coast. People just stop attending. We have too much things to watch or be entertained by. As opposed to, you know, these 110 year old clubs like Nottingham and shit with history where Britons had nothing else to do but follow the local club. That tradition carries on generationally. Here? Just look at us. The majority of the people in this forum are in the states and we couldn't be bothered by the local LA Galaxy or Chicago Fire. It's mamada y media to us. This is why I refuse to believe the US will ever become a global soccer power. That, or... I say it'll happen in another 4 decades. Not anytime soon.

Ferrell to Vela: "Did we just become best friends?" Ferrell to Vela when he misses a sitter: "You scorpion woman!" I can totally imagine Vela at the ********ing Catalina wine Mixer or as an anchorman for Telemundo (Como estan bitches?)
You guys are all lame. Anyway, @Milk! and I will be sitting front row next to Bob Bradley to watch this shit show from inception. Rik can get us a beer for a few minutes with me, Hugo Sanchez, King of BigSoccer Mexico.
I'll be pretty busy putting in work at the North End, broder. Maybe after the game, though I won't be drinking alcohol with y'all. Type I diabetes ain't no joke.
