Wow, really? ok then I give up...you win I'll stop following a team that I've followed since 1974, in all its forms. I'm done. Good night.
Hey, I'm with you. I've traveled enough (and now, with internet, it's even more evident) that ALL hometown announcers are "insufferable ". To wit: Red Sox, SD Chargers, Cavaliers, Mexico, Brazil, etc., especially when they're announcing a game vs. a team you care about.
Yep. Just don't get the Statler and Waldorf approach on here when we're not playing well and against a better team. It's not that much of a mystery, deserving of some of the comments above (like Leitch can get fired now? WTF?!). I've never understood it on here, and I've never seen it anywhere else... It's probably a geographical thing, you are a bunch of entitled Californians after all... (that was a joke, I love you all really, and NorCal is easily the best place on the planet)
Regulation time ends with the score at: 1 - 1 On to the first fifteen-minute half of extra time. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Didn't Wondo come off the bench against Sac Republic a few years back in Open Cup and snatch victory?
Part of it is that we have been sorely and cruelly played by an ownership and front office that was clearly unprepared to do what is necessary to win in this league. Nine seasons with two trips to the post-season in a league where half the teams qualify for the playoffs is futility-level effort, and I think a lot of us have cut them all the slack that we're prepared to at this point. We're cynical, because fool us once, shame on you -- fool us twice...we won't get fooled again.
