New York advances after an 87th minute goal from Bradley Wright-Phillips put them over New England 1-0. Its the first time the team has been to the semi-finals since they were the Metrostars back in 2003 (the year they lost in the finals to Chicago) They're set to play the winner of the Cincinnati-Miami game. Host pending an announcement tomorrow.
Argh! I looked at this one and the weekly MLS thread and saw no action in either. I couldn't believe no one was saying anything about that game at the time.
So the hosting announcements have been confirmed for tomorrow? Awesome. I hope San Jose hosts. I may be in the Bay Area that week.
Yup, semis and finals. Seeing as how the finals take place in the beginning of football season I kind of hope they avoid having the teams that play in college football stadiums host for that potential scenario. Be even better if they weren't involved with the finals at all, but that's just my opinion.
Any word on when the Miami - Cinci game will be played. Also would Cincinnati get reimbursed (up to the limit) for each game or will they get screwed and only get one reimbursement for both games?

San Jose Earthquakes Final September 20 Hosting priority order: 1. Sporting Kansas City 2. NY Red Bulls 3. Miami/Cincinnati winner 4. San Jose Earthquakes
I just want to know when our quarterfinal match will be as thought have it figured out by now. I'd think Miami or Cincinnati want it to be soon. Schedule is very tight in coming weeks for FCC. 15th - @ Louisville 22nd - Harrisburg 24th - Valencia* 29th - Rochester 5th - Orlando 8th/9th - USOC Semi Final *Friendly If they don't do it on the 19th like I expected I only see the 2nd as possible date. Be a shame as give either limited time to promote New York coming to town.
SKC has some hardware, need to spread the love around. Any USL or NASL team that wins would be awesome followed by SJ which needs a lift.

"Need to spread the hardware around" yet in another thread you're talking about how plastic the "Carson Galaxy" are and that LAFC is going to leave them in the dust. Seems you actually hate teams that win trophies. Odd.
Yes. The USSF entrants in the Spring 2019 tournament are the 2017 and 2018 MLS Cup and Open Cup winners.
----------------- Galaxy at times have not taken the USOC serious enough. It's the shortest way to the CCL. I just happen to like underdogs in the Cup.
There is local TV coverage in the Cincinnati area. Other than that, you have to watch a stream online.
They're probably still going to use that crappy cujo (or whatever it's called) platform instead of the ubiquitous youtube
Miami 0-1 Cincinnati Cincinnati advances to the semi final, will host New York on the 15th. This is beyond my wildest dreams!
