Any updates on the Comets? Outside of a recent article where a Comets employee claimed that everything was good to go for next season (really, what else would they say, as they try to sell tickets and sponsorships), nothing has been heard. Oh yeah, the team is 'seeking investors' - never a good sign. The team signed no free agents in May but a number of other teams were also quiet on that front. Lawsuit situations like the Comets experienced often make it less likely for the team to survive. I hope they make it. They only have a couple months to get their ducks in a row before they have to finalize their roster, confirm arena dates, etc.
Sid, nice job on the article and on the Turf and Boards website. A go to site for news and opinion is appreciated. Also nice to see the stability in the league this offseason, so you're able to raise these questions instead of "will there be a league?"
