Blew a 2-0 lead. The second goal was a ridiculous deflection, but US went down and scored a third almost immediately. The same thing happened in the Panama-Nicaragua game. Nicaragua, an obviously inferior side, scored and Panama went down and scored on the next attack.
It doesn't really matter, under Mourinho every ST will suck. I can't believe their are attacking players that would ever play for him.
Theo Hernandez was turrible at his Real Madrid presentation. I'm sure it was nerves, but he couldn't juggle to save his life. It was awkward.
Damn. Ajax's Abdelhak Nouri suffered severe brain damage after passing out during a friendly match. It doesn't sound like there's a lot of hope for much of a recovery Sounds like he was their Florenzi. Born in Amsterdam and joined their academy at the age of 7.

I'm thinking g the scandal might have lead to his death or at least contributed to it.... Chuck Blazer dies at age of 72
He had cancer. He snitched when the government came after him for tax evasion. By turning evidence & due to his health, he avoided going to jail.
I usually agree when it comes to some types of attacking players but Mourinho is pretty good with strikers Benzema, Driogba, Milito, Ibra all hitting over 20 goals per season under him
Being a coach with a defence first philosophy, Mourinho always plays with a lone striker. The striker needs to have all the attributes needed of a lone strike: physically strong to get and hold up the ball, lay it on for incoming teammates, and be very efficient in finishing off chances. Even if you get just one proper chance the entire match, you need to convert it. All the guys that JoãozinhoFutebol mentioned above did that. Drogba and Zlatan in particular have been doing that effectively & consistently their whole careers.
Ok so we know they are in their preseason and maybe their guys aren't in the best of shape but its still pretty good for an MLS side full of reserves to beat an 11th place Bundesliga team... Eintracht go down 4-1 to the San Jose Earthquakes The Eagles hit their first snag of the preseason Friday night at Avaya Stadium, where they fell 4-1 to the host San Jose Earthquakes. eintracht.de
It's still fun when you see it. Every time a European team loses these games they are downplayed as preseason warmups. In turn when MLS clubs get blow out by the same teams , its always the same old line on how the league and their clubs are crap. I agree though that the games would mean more in some type of more meaningful tournament with more money , sponsors or something at stake. I'm sure in this day and age something could be thought up on how to make these friendlies mean more. Other than an occasional injury here and there (which in my opinion is part of the game), they could come up with something of more value. It's also interesting how these meaningless games attract many fans and provide a great deal of revenue for promoters and the local clubs that sponsor or host the games.
Well, Roma drew or lost against a semi pro team in Pinzolo a few years ago. Dortmund lost to a fourth division German team a few days ago. Is anyone arguing lumberjack leagues are great after that?
Roma though also easily beat the MLS all stars four years ago. I remember many people going on and on how far superior Roma were. Even though the all star team had just assembled two days before. I remember reading on the boards how a 36 year old Totti wasn't even trying in that game. He was awesome in that game and I would have relished to see what he would have done had he tried to play hard. On another note, I just learned something new today. In reading Clive Toye's wiki page, I just found out about the word soccer that I had never known before.
Fullback, Kyle Walker becomes the world's most expensive defender at £50m plus. Imagine how much he would cost if he could cross the ball.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) July 14, 2017
These games against piss ants are doing more harm than good for the US. There's so much pressure to destroy these teams that anything short off 5-0 is an abject failure, and you can see the guys pressing too much.
Agree but you have to admit that this U.S. team on the field right now is horrible even by U.S. standards. I've seen better touch and awareness in a Sunday morning pub league.
Oh yeah, they're having a rough time. I've warmed to Dax McCarty though. I know the feeling of playing a team so bad that they're good. They don't do anything you anticipate, and it screws you all up.
I understand this but can't help but feel that this is just his level. Turn it up a notch or 3 against better competition and I have my doubts. I guess what I'm saying is I need to see more.
