I think we are certainly going to see more primavera players in the future. It looks like they are going the Pellegrini route with there best prospects by selling them cheap with the right to buy them back. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see either (or both) Luca Pellegrini or Tumminello make the team this year.
lol.. I think he LOVES to push people buttons. He sees everybody freaking out so he's going to do it more. It's just how he is. Like I said earlier this is going to be one entertaining transfer window.
I don't blame him at all for cracking jokes about this. Our team is run like a joke. How hard is it to give your best player a well deserved and reasonable raise? We have 0 balls. Any other team will. If it weren't for his friends, his love of the city and fans I think Radja would be long gone and I wouldn't blame him one bit.
Yea, I'm not sure why it's taking so long. It seems after ffp this would have been done rather quickly. I'm not sure what he's asking for but he's certainly earned a raise.
I think we're gonna see another surprise signing, like with Moreno. Someone we haven't been linked with whatsoever (at least by credible sources).
We had 1 change that was under our control. WS is back at Arsenal and nothing we could do about that. Emerson got hurt, nothing we could do there. I would have liked Rui to stay because I think he's a good player and just had the ACL injury at the worst time. We have both our starting CB returning and out starting RB (before he was injured) is already training with a ball and may only miss a handful of games. So in the end we really lost the guy that was our starting RB at the end of the season and with Karsdorp, Peres and Florenzi we should be fine there. IMO, one of the best moves Spalletti did was the loan for WS again last year. That gave Alisson time to ease into the position. He now has a full season at the club and an entire pre-season so I'm expecting him to improve on the good season he had last year.
Yeah, we'll see what the rest of the summer holds but, by far, the biggest change in defense so far is hiring a manager that wants to use a back four. I'm not completely convinced by Fazio in the back four but keeping him is certainly going the "consistency" route and Spalletti did choose Fazio in a back four over Rudiger-Manolas pairing every time he had the chance. Allisson taking over as GK this year has been the plan since he was purchased and hasn't done anything to make anyone doubt that he's up for the job.
See Salah for a starting point. He would be a dream but sadly I think he is waaaaaay out of our price range.
I thought about him as well after coming across an article that said he wants out of Leicester. But on reading further, it seems that they want a fee so high that even Arsenal got priced out. They're looking for £50m+ for him.
For 10M less I'd sell Manolas and his family to get him here. If he was of the right nationality he would be worth 100M+.

Hell, I'd pay 50 mil for Mahrez.. and I'd sell Manolas to do it too. I mean if Salah is worth 50 Mahrez has to be worth at least 60.
Just to share my discomfort with everyone: I remember many rumors in the summer of '14 saying Mayrez would be a target for Sabatini if the Iturbe purchase were to fall through.
I remember reading an interview where he said Roma made me an offer and I want to join them, nobody cared because no one knew who he was at the time.
Yeah, probably gave Sabatini tons of grief for focusing on unproven youth instead of Serie A proven players like Iturbe that Juve want that show you want to win trophies.
Yeah, Juve's best roster move was probably Iturbe choosing not to sign with them and leaving Roma to take Mayrez.
That's 50m pounds not Euros. So in terms of Euros they're looking for something near 60m atleast. But in today's hyper inflated market I don't blame them. Arsenal's reported 40m euro offer is a joke for a guy who not only has proven himself in the EPL, but has 4 CL goals to his name in his very first campaign. The guy can setup up goals as well. Would have been perfect for us if we could afford him.
The one problem when you make a lot of money from player sales is the teams you are trying to get players from know you got money and will try getting more money fro their players.
