The guy brings it every time he plays. I can't help but wonder how long Atlanta will be able to hang onto him in the next few years. Either way it will be a great piece of business for ATL. The scouting department definitely got this one right as they have with most of our players. I recently took a Dutch friend to a United game and he commented on Almiron being far better than any other player on the field. He bosses most games and he deserves to hear our appreciation!
hear hear! While Martinez may be (deservedly) getting the glory for his amazing finishing it's been Almiron driving this bus to date. His speed, especially on the ball, plus his vision and tireless work rate that makes him the boss of this bunch. I'll lurk on the other team boards following our matches and it has typically been Almiron called out as our most impressive player. Love his personality as well. Always appears upbeat and level headed. He's been an absolute gem for us this season.
Two years. Max. He's been a great pickup for the club, my MVP on the team so far, but I can't see him staying for long.
2 seasons seems right. I think he is the best player in the MLS already. Reports have us paying $13 million for him. I think we sell on for over $20 million.
He was mentioned in the latest World Soccer magazine as well. They have a list of the most important players world wide. Twelve players are playing in North America. One of the twelve is Almiron.
